SGS4 vs Note 3 ?

I'm really wanting to love this phone but it's not really any diff from my s4 other than the pen of course, and I rarely use it. Is there something I'm missing?

No, your not missing much, it's a little quicker (some people don't even notice), has a much larger screen which you get used to and 'forget' the difference. 'S' - pen is the real difference, the more you use it, the better. I've gone from your position of ignoring it to ensuring I use it and now If I use my SGS4 I miss it, and the size of the screen seems inadequate.

It's all a matter of personal preferences.

The S4 I have is a terrific smartphone, yet I ordered a Note 3 for its larger display, mainly because I prefer desktop versions of Web sites, instead of mobile sites. Nothing about the S - Pen appealed to me.

But that was_before_ I took delivery.

After my first three weeks with this incredible phone, I cannot imagine not having the amazing S - Pen. As one who enjoys progress, innovation and new tech, I could not be more satisfied.

Samsungs excellent implementation of the pen with its innovative and highly effective software makes for a very versatile and efficient way of note taking.

As weird as it sounds, you almost have to force yourself to use the S-pen for a while. Then it starts to click and you find yourself relying on it more and more. I used to grab sticky notes to stash in my pocket whenever I needed a reminder or a list of some sort. Now I use the Note and I don't have wadded up pieces of paper in my pocket, on my dresser, etc. It's also a place to write notes that you want to keep, like I put the license keys to my Windows computers in there, for example.

If you haven't already, watch a couple of Youtube videos about the Note 3. There is much more to learn with this thing than any of the non-Note phones. At minimum, you should be seeing better battery life coming from the S4, I know I did.

Chris....

I'm not seeing better battery life, it is the same as my s4. I'm pretty into taking notes cause I'm forgetful. The pen is a pain to even get out! I thought it would have like a pop out type thing but it doesn't. I don't know why but I thought I would be able to just write on the screen any where and it would save it (don't know where I got that idea). Idk I'm still trying to justify the upgrade.
