Shapewriter...ROCKS!

why cant i find swype on android market?

Its not in the market try googling for "cdma hero swype lite" and then find a link with xda in the url.

Well for me I like SlideIt/swype they both are pretty close for me. I like them way better than shapwritter (more accurate).

Swypes popup menu wasnt bad for me. And most words it will get so you just keep typing, dont even but a space. Also seems like alot of people havent looked at the settings. There is a setting where if you want to add "s" or "es" or anything it wont space and try to make it word. That was my biggest complaint about it before.

I have looked carefully through Swype's tutorial, manual, and settings, but I cannot find this option. Can you help me find it please? TIA.

Auto-spacing-enabled, auto-capitalization-enabled, word prediction-disabled, enable tip indicator enabled, disable audio warnings disabled

Those are my settings. I believe its word prediction. It still comes up with a box if what you typed is similar to another word.

This is just a bump for this thread as a kudos to the general technology of "swiping" to type versus the traditional "peck". I thought I would hate the concept, but tried it out just to see how it worked.

I happen to be using Swype and like it a lot, but I know everyone has their preferences. My point is, I've been using Swype for about 3 weeks now, and didn't realize how much I enjoy using it, and how easy it becomes to type on a virtual keyboard, until I picked up my iPod touch yesterday, and attempted to respond to an email. I've gotten so used to "swiping", that the process of "pecking" seemed almost out dated and tedious. I actually tried to "swipe" on my iPod by accident, and regretted that I couldn't.

Never would have thought it. Moral of the story, try it, you just might like it!

I have tried them all , I liked slideit, until they started to annoy me with pop ups to buy there paid version. Now the beta had ben released for swype. I downloaded it and I love it. Thumbs up got swype.
