Share contacts

When I select a contact and try to share it, I do not have the option to text it to someone. I can email and other options, but no text. How can I text it to someone?

Because it is shared as a 'file' you can't text it. Its not stored and transferred as simple text. Its a .vcf file if I am not mistaken.

If you need to send a contact's phone number or email address via text, the only thing you can do is go into that contact and long press the field, then choose copy to clipboard, then go to your sms app and paste the info.

My wife as the S3 and when she presses share the option to text is there.
Also, when someone sends me a vcard file and I hit add to contacts I get an error that says contacts has closed.

Must be a 'custom' feature of the S3. The Galaxy Nexus doesn't support texting contact info with the stock android OS.
