Help Shared / Not Shared?

New to this game, I am thinking of getting a Desire, can someone explain what Shared / Not Shared means when I'm siffting through all the ads for them on the net.

That just looks like google products not being able to find/having incomplete metadata to fill in the information in its results to be honest. Thats the most likely explanation as I can't think of it having anything to do with the phone!
