My only issue is that it makes a bad squeak when removing from the holster (sounds like a turkey call...), so i need to locate what part is rubbing.
Don't worry, that goes away after a few days of usage, it just does this when new for a while.

I actually ordered the one off ebay and it is the same problem with the upper right hand corner not catching the edge.
there was actually another problem also. the tab that connects to the sliding part of the phone would hit the keyboard when you open or close it, automatically bringing up the search feature. the easiest way to fix that problem is to just file it down a bit.

There is no tab that could hit the keyboard on the one that Verizon sells that looks exactly like the ebay one. Did you put the screen piece half on upside down? There is a cutout for the microphone that goes on the mic end. If you install it upside down then there are tabs that will hit the keyboard.

yeah i made sure everything was on correctly

I circled where i had to shave down in the pic. I didnt file it down completely, the tab still functions as it should. If i wanted to get rid of it i wouldve just taken a razor to it![]()
yup. the top case that goes around the screen has 7 tabs total -
2: USB
2: Speaker
2: Camera/ Volume Adjustment
1: Headphone
I guess we all know why they were recalled then. Did they fix the upper righthand corner problem with yours also?
The 2 tabs on the USB side might tear off the keyboard key stickers, so that is a real problem.I have to agree, I love the body glove case, the way it looks and fits and the protection it offers. My problem is i love my multimedia station also, and it now sits on my end table beside my bed because when i do try and take the body glove off it wants to rip the phone apart.Personally i loved just setting the phone in the dock and have it charge and see the weather and set alarms and so on, but the protection the body glove offers seems to trump the media dock for me at this time. I feel like i wasted 30 bucks on the dock now.I find it very difficult to remove the phone from the body glove. It almost feels like I may break the phone. And when I try to put back on, if I am not careful, I sometimes get caught on the lip/side of the phone by the usb port and I almost take apart the phone! Have others had this issue? Should I return/exchange it?

BTW, really liking it so far.
) I drop my Droid. The hard plastic won't absorb nearly as much of the impact that soft plastic would from a drop to the concrete. After a few days of Droid ownership, I bought one of the official Motorola Droid Shell/Holster combos (the one everyone started posting here).
I returned mine.
I liked the concept, but I had two problems with the design:
1) The case is hard plastic, and not a soft plastic. While a minor issue, I purchased the shell as protection when (not "if") I drop my Droid. The hard plastic won't absorb nearly as much of the impact that soft plastic would from a drop to the concrete.
2) The major problem (and the main reason I returned it) was this: Every time I opened the slide-out keyboard, some of the keys would get accidentally "pressed" by part of the cover plastic that surrounded the screen. It effectively made the slide-out keyboard totally useless.
I returned it, and went with the $10 Motorola soft rubberized case, and added a Ghost Shield for good measure. The Droid sits comfortably in my pocket - not problems so far ...
I got the one from ebay, it has 5 taps on the top piece as well. Looks good, only problem i have run into is when sliding the keyboard out, that top piece tap by the usb seems to push the buttons down when it slides. Usually the search comes up.

It sounds to me like you guys have the top piece installed upside down. If there are only 5 tabs then none of these should be on the side that the USB port is on. Check to make sure that the mic cutout is at the bottom of the phone by the mic and not at the top.
The case is on right, the tab hits the keys slightly, filing it down just a bit solves the problem.
Alright already! Really!
The fact remains that the ones that are being sold by Verizon don't have to be filed down to keep any tabs from hitting the keyboard. There aren't any tabs there. If someone has one with 5 tabs and still has a problem scraping the keyboard then something else is wrong. In any case, I wasn't responding to you, so you can ignore me if you don't like it. By the way, you don't tell me when I can post. If I think that I can help, I will post without getting your permission.
