Root Shipped with one processor offline Motion

Thank you for this info. I was running 6950 in benchmark before this now, im up to 7069 now. Nice little boost for just a few clicks on the phone.

It could be a placebo effect. Running one benchmark after the other could very well show an increased score from the previous, as I have seen. Forcing the second CPU on did not make a difference, actually got a benchmark score in-between the first two benchmarks that were before the second CPU was forced on.

I have been running forced and non forced on and off and I do notice a difference, although slight, its still a difference . What i have noticed is a difference in lag during heavy applications. For example, with forced off, i run a linux emulator and it has to turn on the second core, or gaming or loading a program. However with forced turned on I notice the slight lag goes away because it does not have to send the instruction to turn thr second core on.
This is what I have seen, i continue to run forced only because I see no difference in battery consumption and I seem to have 0 lag. Only an observation, please tell me if u experience different, I am curious about your own experience with it.

P. S I will say that I have seen that while in forced mode it still only uses second core rarely. If u also have cpu tuner that there is a area "times" that u can see detailed usage of your cpu. It seems that the second core is radelyrarely used, but I still base my usage on the fact the I rather have it forcdd on so thrre is no pause or slight lag at all. I likr it more like a computer.

On my stock unrooted Motion I was trying to see if I got s 1.2 Mhz or 1.5 Mhz version.

I noticed that the speed of Core 1 was changing from 384 to 918 and to 1512 Khz and the second core would also occasionally register.

By playing a Youtube Video and simultaneously making a call on speakerphone and I may have also been online on Google I was able to get both Cores on at mostly 1512 though the second Core would still
go lower.

Point being that these Cores seemed to be changing speeds very.rapidly so I think it's fairly efficient and underclocking may not be increasing efficiency that much.

However -this is just a logical guess on my part - I am not an expert or experienced as many on here

are- but these cores were changing speeds very quickly if this App was accurate and there were at least

2 other speeds between 384 and 1512 Khz. so pretty efficient already .
