I heard the same thing when I called FedEx yesterday. Mine's sitting in Memphis, and if it's made it way to their facility near my house tomorrow I'm going to stop in there to see if I can get anyway. My tracking info says it will show up on the 28th by 7pm. If it were guaranteed by 3:30 or so I may just wait, but I don't want spend the entire day waiting for it.

Same here; got told the same thing by Fedex

Just so you know, I had to call Verizon about another issue today, and got a message on the call before someone came on the phone to help me, about a pending order....so I asked him about that when a CSR came on the phone, and that's where I got my tracking number for FED EX. I never got an email when I placed the order that it had been placed, and I still have yet to receive an email that it had been shipped, but it has. Try calling VZW, they may give you a tracking number over the phone. No emails, ever. By the way, it just left Coatesville, PA and is now listed in transit about an hour ago, after being picked up in West Chester, PA (I believe these two locations are right near the Philly area) about seven hours prior to that. I live in WNY and I'm not "scheduled" receive it prior to Wednesday, but hope springs eternal!!!!

Phone is now IN TRANSIT! Whoohooo! I hope like hell it gets here tomorrow, not sure I can wait any longer!!! Its in Coatesville PA, about 5 hours from me!

I am now listed as shipped out of PA as well. Estimated Delivery is 28th by 7:00 PM. Verizon and I will have to have a talk, I ordered next day shipping and paid $8 for it to be sure it would be there by end of day Friday....FedEx says they shipped it via 2 day.

I have my concerns about Fed Ex's accuracy...mine left Coatsville PA at 11 this morning and won't get here until Wednesday by 7. Um, and I live about 30 minutes from Coatsville.

So why the hell am I waiting until Wednesday!!!! :rolleyes:

FedEx actually has a great system. They route packages to center centers. All next day packages go through Memphis. I have had packages sit at the warehouse because it was not scheduled. I have also had packages delivered early since it got here early. Its all a hit or miss based on their load for the day. If the load isn't too high they will try to get it sent out earlier but if the load is large for the day and the package isn't due yet they will hold the package till tomorrow.

This waiting is killing me. Never ordered a phone in my life I've never seen before. But I got to touch one at the store yesterday, and play with it a bit. It was amazing how people on this forum had it right. I asked to see it, and he insisted they didn't have one. When he realized the knowledge I had about the phone (he was trying to be very vague about the specs) he whispered that he would check in the back, and sure enough, let me play around with it some, but told me not to advertise what I was playing with to other people in the store... The best part was, my husband (who thinks I'm nuts for being crazy about a phone I've never seen), has a very old phone that he thought was just fine, no need to upgrade. After playing around with it for a while, he asked how many phones that particular store will be getting on Thursday, and was told probably about ten or so (this from the same guy who swore they didn't have one in the back....), and needless to say, I will be at the store picking up my husband's new "Incredible" Thursday morning, after we paid for it right there. I better have mine before then, is all I can say, LOL. Oh, and the phone was amazing!!! Smaller and lighter than I anticipated, but I am prepared to be in love right away!!!

I have experiences with Fedex that they say a certain date but the item always arrives a day earlier. For example mine is now in Newark, NJ Hub, I had requested that the Inc be delievered to my job in Jersey City which is 10 mins from newark . So I expect to have my Inc tomorrow.:):):)
 
ugh... mines has been stuck on in transit status... and has "Shipment information sent to Fedex" in Memphis as far as activity since 3AM this morning... already bumped it from 4/27 by 3:30PM to 4/28 by 7:00PM... the wait is keeeeelllling meeeee!!!

Woot! If the orders are being processed sequentially by order date&time, they are up to orders placed over this past last weekend already. Waiting for shipment details, but this is a good sign.

Maybe I'm just worrying too much ... but I ordered the phone last Wednesday (4/21) and they just now charged me today but I still haven't received a shipping confirmation.... I hope everything is alright and I'll get it Thursday!
 
I have a friend that works for UPS. He was told if anyone delivered an iPad before the launch day, it was immediate termination. Had one on his truck for two days and couldn't deliver. I hope Verizon isn't working off the same process.

I just wish mine was in a FedEx warehouse. This is what I get when I check my order status. :mad:

Check my post a few back - my status still says that on VZW, but got a tracking # from VZW over the phone today, and it has been shipped. I never got an email for anything related to this order, received, pending, shipped, etc.
