That is there to make people believe that without a doubt they will receive their device by the 29th. Agreed. It's dishonest of them to promise free "overnight delivery", but at the end of the day as long as they get it out by the 29th then they've done what they said they would do. Any earlier is just gravy.
 
You guys are lucky. I was offered to upgrade to a smartphone through customer service (phone) and I'm not eligible to upgrade online without paying full list price. :(

I have to wait until the 29th when the phone orders open back up. I called in on that Monday when they were shipping them and was one of the first that didn't go through. The rep told me she had just processed one 15 minutes before my call.
 
My email says the phone was picked up in Ontario this morning and expected delivery is on the 29th by 7 pm. I live in Ontario WTF!
 
GD it. Just finally got my tracking number right now, and apparently they just shipped my phone. Wont be arriving until Apr 29 by 7:00 PM. Which is most definitely NOT within 2-3 business days!

Seriously I GOT the SAME thing this morning. My order was processed yesterday and I paid $8.99 for overnight as well. Verzion is gonna be getting a call from me. :eek: The wait is just killing me!!!

I only think it's dishonest that I paid for overnight shipping and according to fedex I'm getting express saver. I can say that after the 29th I will refuse receipt of shipment.
 
I ordered on the 25th, status still says: "Your order has been processed. You should receive your order within 2 - 3 business days."

How did you guys get your tracking number?

I would call FedEx and let them know about that. If it shipped today and you don't get it tomorrow get them to refund you your money....
 
Yeahhh... Finally got the shipping email with tracking number. Phone left Western PA today and will supposedly be at my house on the 29th by 4:30pm by Indirect Signature.

I'm from Ontario too and that's what I thought, but they delivered mine today. Thing is, they delivered it to the wrong place, and so now my package is lost. The FedEx representative told me it could take 24 hours to locate it. And I was so excited :(
 
I did call Fedex. They were paid for ground shipping from Verizon and that's what they're going to do. My complaint isn't with Fedex. They were paid for a service and that's what they are doing. My very big complaint is with Verizon. According to BOA I'm paying for overnight by 3pm and am getting even below the free 2nd day. I will be more than happy to tell Verizon exactly where they can put that order.

What does the FedEx site claim your Service Type is? Mine says FedEx 2Day Service even though I paid VZW for Next Day.

Why did you have to pay for overnight delivery? When you pre-ordered it said upon check out free overnight delivery.
 
Anyone else getting theirs shipped by USPS? Just checked my order status and it's not being shipped by FedEx like I thought it would be :/
 
Not everyone got the Free Overnight Delivery. I had 2nd Day Air and I used the the free overnight promo code. Even though they accepted it they did not seem to honor it because it was shipped 2nd day. I don't care cause regardless of anything I should have it by Thursday which is the release date. I may get it tomorrow which would be awesome.

Now, if you paid for overnight delivery and they accepted your order and charged you for it then they should ship it overnight. If your tracking info shows shipped on Monday and you didn't get it on Tuesday (or any scenario that doesn't get you the package the day after it ships) i would call Verizon and ask for a refund on the shipping charge. They can't just take your money and not provide the service you paid for.
 
Got notification today that mine is shipping from West Chester, Pa (I'm in NH).

Expected delivery date April 29th.

Notification included FEDEX tracking number.

I called them and they are going to hold it at the fed ex facility and I will pick it up tomorrow at 9am when they open. Beats the heck out of waiting for them to try to deliver it to my house then have to wait for the driver to get back late and try to pick it up then.
 
Just got my notification. I used the promo code for free overnight and it still says FedEx 2day service. Its not supposed to arrive today, not even tomorrow. Says 29th by 4:30pm. Geez, wait until the last minute. Going to a store would have been faster.
