Root Sholes 2.0.5 is out!

So is everyone still loving 2.0.5? I've been having all kinds of FCs, specifically with voicemail, beautiful widgets, and android.process. I've also been getting black screen forcing me to do a battery pull, and it's been fairly unprovoked. I haven't been using the phone that much or very intensely. Nothing more than web browsing. When I used 2.0.3 I loved it.

Should I re-flash 2.0.5 or go back to 2.0.3? If so, should I wipe it first?
Also, I did not do a wipe when I installed, could that solve my FCs and black screens?

Thanks in advance!

Finally decided to root my phone via Sholes. Went with 2.0.5. Had to re-flash in order to get 3G to work but everything is running very smooth except a few errors I receive on every start up:

Application Visual VM (in process.com.vzw.wm.androidclient) is not responding
and
Application Voice Search (in process.com.google.android.voicesearch) is not responding.

No biggie.

Installed a few other apps that have been working well:

Installed "dxTop" - Which is a home theme I tried a while back and really loved but it lagged to much. It now runs much faster at 800Mhz and really don't notice any lag once the device is up and running for a minute. (For those that don't know what dxTop does: It gives you up to 5 home screens but instead of swiping across to get to all of the screens, you have a main screen, you swipe "Up", "Left", "Down", and "Right" on whatever screen you are on to get to your other screens.)

Installed "BatteryLife" - This application widget is great because it will display your battery life more clearly along with the temperature of your battery in Fahrenheit.

Anyone else recommend any roms that don't come with Sholes that you love having?

I posted some questions2 or 3 posts above this one, and I believe I have decided on a course of action, but I want to make sure it is the correct.

I will wipe my phone, reinstall 2.0.5, then do a nandroid simple restore to get all of my data back. Does this sound correct? Or like it would give me what I want? Which is all of my data and a reflashed 2.0.5.

Just my experience- I went from Bugless Beast .7.5 to sholes 2.0.5 and got a lot of FCs. I particularly had trouble with the camera. Also, on boot up the phone took a LONG time to find the SD card. I was OCing fine at between 800-1000 and very few FCs on BB, but a lot of delays and FCs on sholes. I now went to Bugless Beast .7.6 and the boot is back to very quick and camera works great.

I love the idea of sholes SMUpdater, but my experience so far is the Bugless is more stable.

Just curious if you wiped data during the switch from Bugless to Sholes? I find a lot of the problems go away when you have a clean slate.

Go to SM Updater and re-flash the phone but step carefully through the screen where it gives you the option to disable the stock apps.

Keep your data, when you get to the screen with the options to remove corp email, email, etc. I think the option for Car Dock is on that list. Just scroll down and uncheck it.

Just updating to say that there's no need to re-flash the ROM to get the Car Dock mode. If anyone wants to add the Car Mode to 2.0.5, all you have to do is 1st uninstall the app (the app is there, but has 0 byte size), then download the cardock.apk from the web and install.

Just went in and checked SM Updater and now it says Version 0.0.9 is available, but will not update. Also, the original option for restoring to 2.0.1 (non root) is gone. I'm guessing this is fallout from the Sholes Team issues.
