Help Short Battery Life

I'm not sure what triggers the media service - maybe streaming video - but I found it when using the battery widget by geekyoup located here:

Also, I'm using the Advanced Task Killer by Rechild which really saves on battery life by allowing me to kill everything when I'm not using the phone:

You should use smart actions and not use task killers. They wreak havoc with the Android OS. I can't link it right now with my phone, but if you search a little you'll see....

Task killers shut down processes which need to run. It takes more battery to get them started than to leave them running. There is much more to it than that, but that is the gist of it. Smart actions are designed to work with android in order to conserve battery when using intensive processes, or just to make life easier. I have found a couple that work for me very well. Also, you can pick and choose what you want and make custom ones that fit your needs. It really is very impressive and powerful.

Also, here is one of the articles that explains why task killers are no good. take a minute and read it...

my phone is acting in a weird (beneficial) way. the first few days i bought it, the battery used to last only 6 hours and then the first week it went to last 10 hours and now after 20 days almost, it lasts for 16 hours ! the usage is in no way lesser, cuz am chatting only more and more in it.

I know it might be hard, but I just turned 4g off and used 3g for a day, with the same use i had almost 3x the battery life. I used 4g a bit just when i needed to. Another thing you can try is rather than just pushing the power button to put the device to sleep you can hold it down and select sleep mode, which will make the battery last longer even with 4g on.

As of right now I'm at 16 hours unplugged and the battery is at 40 percent.

That's 2 hours of phone calls, quite a bit of web browsing, with the brightness on automatic.

My battery saving smart actions don't even kick in until 35%.
