Help "Short texts"

Newbie
You know the kind I'm talking about...the kind where you respond to a poll or enter a response to win something or give to a charity, etc.? How do you set the Evo to allow those type of texts?
I tried to send a response to a 5 digit "number" and I got a message back that said "...shortcode texting may be blocked on your account" :confused:

This! Do you have a spending limit on your account? Or any other restrictions? Or parents paying for your phone? Sprint can and does shut off the short numbers on request and automatically if you have a spending limit just to ensure you don't run up a ridiculous bill and then not pay it!
 
Thanks everyone. It's my account and I did not put a block on it but it sounds like there is one. Going to be near a Sprint Corp. store later today and will stop by to get this cleared up!
I just couldn't for the life of me figure out what was going on! :eek: I have been able to use shortcode texting on all my previous phones and thought this had something to do with the Evo itself.
 
I called Sprint the other day and there was a block, no one knows how it got there :rolleyes: It's gone now and shortcodes work fine now!

Thanks for the reply that the fixes worked! So few people actually reply that suggestions worked or not...
