Help Should be easier than this....

Okay - I've read every page of the manual and even stopped at the Metro PCS store for assistance - with no luck. Does anyone know if contacts on the LG Optimus can be sorted into categories? Aside from adding people to "favorites" - I have to scroll through a bunch of numbers.
I synced contacts with my microsoft outlook contacts - which ARE sorted - but that didn't come across. Any suggestions?

Also -is it safe to delete FB for LG and install FB for Android?

to uninstall it you have too root your phone

the facebook for LG is part of the sns.apk which is installed in /system/app/
all system apps installed there require root access to remove.

by the way this also removes the twitter for LG.

well for rooting "gaining admin access to your phone" just follow the guide the other guy posted, should be fine, hopefully simple because the one i used was a lot of reading >.>

but for the contacts, as far as i know and tried. there is no way in the stock contacts app, you could try a substitute contact/dialer app from the market. one i've tried was "GO contacts" i didn't personally like it though because i was already used to the simplicity of the stock one. but its got full development from the dev, and alot of options the stock one doesn't have. you can try it if you like

by the way a launcher like "GO Launcher" could be used to link the dialer and contacts on the home dock to a 3rd party app as well as hide the default ones from the app drawer.
its the one i use as my launcher replacement.

easy edit group&contact

And there is also Go Contacts wich I find to be the best one cause you can picture dail people and make groups plus it's faster.

Go SMS is bad ass too. Replaces dumb text message app. This one looks girly but mine looks dark black, red and gothic.
