Help Should my LG Connect be 127 degrees right now?

I just bought an LG Connect yesterday. It hurts to even hold it. Isn't 127 degrees too hot? I had a nightmare with my Samsung Admire-s. I am hoping I didn't make another bad choice this time. Thanks!

A good amount if the connects had this issue. Mine used too then i sent it in after i dropped it in water and they gave me a new.one and i didn't have.the problem anymore.... try updating to zva via lg tool it.might.help... lol i used to cook my breakfast on my connect

being that you bought the phone yesterday they should help you. you may have to go to a corporate store if the phone you bought was an upgrade.

updating to ZVA may help you though.

It's the latest firmware for the connect which is supposed to help with the overheating issue.

What were you doing on your phone when it got really hot?

Thanks 'The W,' I'll look for it. I was just googling online when it happened. Earlier in the day it happened when I read email. Both times the phone was using 4G because there was no available WiFi. With WiFi, so far, it has been about 114 degrees or below.

Maybe it's my phone(though I've never had a serious overheating issue even when I was on zv8) but it got red hot while I was tethering for a few hours.

Bottomline, if you're streaming video on 4G or gaming heavily this phone is gonna get hot.

I don't even know how to tether & don't game. Since the update, I've stayed about 107 degrees or below. Is that ok or do you think I need to try and get a replacement or fix? After two awful Admires and a few scary Metro PCS. loyees, I SO not interested in dealing with the wackadoos at my corpoate store if I can. And to send for repairs will make me unhappy. If I *228 an old phone and then *228 to switch back once fixed, it will be $30. What a load. When did that ridiculous rule come into play? Plus t Admire that I have doesn't charge at all, so sending off my phone or waiting a few days for a craptacular refurbished one to be sent both sound like unfortunate results considering how much money I just laid out for this phone. Ibeginning to regret staying with Metro PCS...

Yea, see me too! I bought this Thurs night! Why do I get a POS refurb when I bought a defective one? If I wanted to bend over and buy a used phone, I'd have done so, known what I'd be getting myself into, and.just spent less on ebay, if refurb or broken then, than ok. But for a few days and then never get a new phone that properly works. That will so piss me off. I'm so not ok with any of this. Wish I hadn't used my 20 talking minutes up or whatever crap policy it is for full phone return. How do 30 talking minutes help at all? How would a defective phone overheat during a 30 minute call? I got a defective Admire from the start from a corporate store. Then they sent it in, which took a few days and required $11 shipping from me. Is't that just the same thing as going thru the manfacturer? Isn't that why the store makes you give them shipping and wait a few days for it to arrive? The replacement Admire I.got in return had the exact same problems as the first from the getgo. Ugh! My Connect just got to 107 on wifi while just android forums open on my phone. Gone down now to a chilly 105, still on WiFi. Which means next time on 4G it will be roasting. Wishing this problem away is not working. Since I already did the update, what SHOULD the maximum temperature now get up to on this Connect? Thanks!

I think it is 60 minutes of talk time, but check the receipt. Don't talk to anyone over the phone till you are sure that you can't return it.

So my lifetime calls on the phone shows over 6 hours! But my call log shows I used less than 1 hour and I've deleted nothing! Does this mean I bought a used phone? Now I'm not only screwed but super pissed! I'll be heading back there tomorrow!

It was a non corporate Metro PCS in GA bc the corporate one I got my last phone from is disgustingly rude, mean, and condescending. Crap! I'm just going to be stuck witth this thing.

No don't get stuck. Go for a new replacement. Tell them that the have sold you a used phone as new, and you will report them to Metro or something like that. Be confident but not rude.
