Help Should my LG Connect be 127 degrees right now?

Thank you. Good approach. I'm hoping its not the same guy. Small little outfit there. Good idea. I hadn'r thought of a polite threat. Good call, as they are not truly metro, they may actually care. What a shady outfit. Don't use the fake Metro PCS store on Peachtree Rd near Collier Rd in Atlanta.

This is just wrong, selling you a used phone as new. You must be able to get your money back at least.
I have just checked my lifetime calls with call timers; they match. They must have sold you a used phone.

It looked new. When I bought it I noticed a lot of lifetime data used but assumed bc of transfer of contacts& pictures. Maybe someone who works there "borrowed" it and realized it sucked and returned it to stock? Don't know. Wish I'd checked hours of talk time when I bought it! The guy at the store couldn't get it to activate though. He tried over and over again but system didn't take some code so he had to call metro pcs. At first he told me I could turn off my phone and turn it on again after 6pm and it would work. That made no sense to me so I stayed while he helped other customers so he'd work on it again. He had them on speaker phone from another phone while they activated it. I am such an idiot for not seeing the red flags.

*UPDATE*
The gentleman at the store was much nicer when I purchased the Connect on Friday. Imagine that? I was told that the fact my "lifetime calls" under "about phone" shows 6:13:23 is essentially because I am ignorant. He tried saying I talked that much then lost track. Then, when I showed him the "call duration" screen under call settings where "all calls" shows 1:04:34 and how it matches exactly to my call history, his test calls, etc, he tried to state that inaccurate. When he realized it was accurate, he said the screen showing 6 hours includes all internet time as well. When I said I've spent far more than 6 hrs, including a lot today, and that I've made no calls today, and the 6 hr 13 min has remained the same and not oncreased with today's internet use, he essentially told me it isn't possible. He showed me an ASP scteenshot on his computer screen showing only 2 things, a date where it was initially activated, when he said it was made, and the date I had it set up. That means nothing to me asvI'm sure there is a way to not make it obvious if you are using phones then selling them asnew. I'm not saying he is the one, but somewhere along the way, it is obvious there is an inconsistency. I am pissed. He semi-scoldedme for hot phone temps. When I purchased I asled specifically if known issues, he saodno. Today he admitsthey can get hot but its no problem. The problem is rhat I must havultiple apps running and don't know it and that I keep it plugged in 24/7.BOTH being utter BS. I told him I had 1 google search going & phone wasn't plugged in at 127 degrees. He said those two things will dangerously overheat my phone but in rhe same breath when it overheats without those two things that its all ok. Its obvious I don't plug it in 24/7 bc the thing was at 60 something percent when,I went in. He wouldn't tell me what temp to worry about. He said if I did the update well then , "there" like close to 110 googling is all good. Hell, maybe it is but God forbid I one day try and stream a video. He said if I'm not happy I can go to LG within 30 days and get a new phone. He promised not a refurb. Is that correct? Way to toss $350 down the toilet. Sorry, I'm to made to reread and check for grammar or typeo's right now.

Oh, and as I left, he was saying something under his breath very similar to "sh--." Can I say that word on here? Like the how dare you take up 5 minutes of my Facebook time way you can say it. Unreal. I am livid. But I was polite, calm, and poised, even when he raised his voice in an attempt to shut me down.

No, MetroPCS will give you a refurb more likely than not, unless you they don't have any refurbs or you are as very pushy. So what are your plans?

Guess I'll go to LG. Its 111 degrees right now. It was $349 bc who knows the status of a $50 rebate when exchanging phones, they now charge $15 to switch phones on your account, a $7 plastic cover thing, and tax.

And now 114 degrees. Not plugged in. Only this forum open on the phone. How can he say this is fine if its too hot to hold the damn thing.

Yeah just call the number one the manual . And tell them your problem .

And what? LG will send him a refurb. He will still have to pay the shipping to LG. No guarantee that replacement will be any better.

I would go to Metro corporate store and tell them what is going on. They must be able to pull when the phone was activated the first time. And then I would demand money back from the merchant who sold the used phone as new.

If he wants a refurb, MetroPCS is easier. They will give him a refurb on the spot within 30 days for free.

Are you sure it is not normal for Connect?
I know. If it is normal, I'd rather have a phone with 5 hours talk time prior use than another hot piece of crap. You know? I just feel for the $ you spend, you should get a phone that's new when they say it is.

Ugh! I'll probably end up doing nothing for fear of the worse. I'll stop complaining. Thanks everyone. I am going to find a higher up someone at Metro PCS so that they can keep this from happening to other people, if they choose to do anything about it. I just can't stand when things are unjust. If I can't help myself, I'll at least feel better if my experience will help someone else.

You experience is unlikely to help anyone even if you complain to Metro. You can only help yourself and do it soon or never.
By the way, it seems a lot off people on this forum complain about Connect overheating.

we have the same problem just update my phone zv8 to ZVA the temp range 27 to 29 degrees idle, and i play modern combat 3 the temp of my phone doesn't exceed 40 degrees
