I just switched from the maxx. I thought the Play store would restore all my apps. It did , but not all. Any idea why? Thanks in advance.

The play store dosent restore apps you havr to have an app that backs them up to restore apps to a new phone

Mine did. The apps that are missing may not be comparable with the s3 yet.
Open play store and go to my apps and check there

None of mine restored automatically, but they were all there in the Google Playstore (menu>my apps) waiting to be downloaded (including the paid apps).

Actually I liked this better, because there were a number of apps I hardly used and decided not to download them.

I've set some people's phones up and apps automatically started restoring. Some do not. Mine didn't. It's finicky at the moment.

restore is SUPPOSED to happen...but from my experience it is completely hit or miss...i flashed my DX so many times and sometimes they would download automatically, sometimes they wouldn't...

Just my two cents...

Had to Factory Reset my HTC OG EVO due to boot loop problem.

My apps did not restore themselves, but I was able to find all my app the My App tab in the Play Store.

Personally, I was glad to see the that I could re-download paid apps
