Help Should we not upgrade to Froyo?

If you are stock I wouldn't worry about it. It was the people who installed the leaked 2.2 that are having the majority of the issues.

Of the tens of thousands of installs over the last few days, the vast majority went totally unnoticed because everything went smoothly.

Don't worry about it. Upgrade if you want the new features in 2.2. Any software upgrade on any device is going to have certain risks, but it's just like taking medicine - there are sometimes side effects, sometimes bad ones... but the medicine wouldn't have gotten approval if those effects weren't minimal and rare.

Shit's broke. I did a hard reset the day before. Update went fine but after another hard reset after the update, my MP3s come up as unreadable formats randomly in the stock music player and the FB pics aren't used in the text messaging app.

Loaded it to my phone and it works perfectly. No hard restart, factory reset, no nothing. I just hit the download button and everything went perfectly.

Bone-stock phone with Launcher pro and some apps.
