Just wondering, I flashed the stock rom someone posted so it shoud work right, would I use that cyanbread apk?

Root Shouldnt uot kitchen work

Cyanbread is a theme for use with cm7 theme chooser. You are on stock. So if you can install it, you can't use it. U can use uot kitchen to upload your framework and systemUI apks to make a recovery flash and flash that. (Worked fine for me) but since the stock isn't deodexed it won't theme everything to the last pixel.

If u flash the rom called gingersteem that mtmichaelson posted, every theme you apply with uot kitchen should work. (Just be sure to upload the framrwork and system ui from that rom to get it to work or you won't have a working status bar based on my experience)

Seems like a pretty cool site.. Messed around with it for around an hour or so getting things right, only to get a bootloopAfter lots of strong words I've decided to try again tomorrow
On that tab where you upload the systemUI and framework to did you change the update-binary to EMMC? By default its set to MTD

Noticed that both the stock ROM and GS work with uotk but with some issues...I haven't been able to change the notification panel and the 4g up/down icon on the status bar won't change either. Not sure if anything can be done about this besides swapping the pngs manually. Battery meter, status bar and most other options change correctly.

themes for the phone, like a cm7 theme chooser but this can be flash in recovery since the esteem dont have a theme chooser installed.
Ok, gonna try this again today lol.. tried a quick one last night again making sure i chose EMMC.. no bueno.. So EMMC is chosen, Patch9 autofix checked, gonna try to disable the theme chooser one next since we don't have that anyways.. and chose hdpi for resolution of everything else.. if i figure this out before a reply I'll edit this

The theme building is done on a computer but you have to copy the necessary files from your phone over to the computer to upload

I'm able to extract the Framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk from the GingerSteem1.0 rom.
Once I do that and set up UOT kitchen how I desire and I go to summary.
What are the settings I need to select?
What I selected was this:
Flashable zip = EMMC
Patch9 = Checked
Theme chooser = unchecked
and I'm assuming I select upload my own files; which I upload the Framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk from the Gingersteem ROM and let it build.
Once it's built as a .zip - What do I do then?
Do I take the new Framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk from UOT kitchen and replace and override the one's in the GingerSteem rom or what is the next step?
I tried to replace and when trying to install the rom from CWM is says the install is aborted.
What am I not doing or am I missing?

He could have done it through uot kitchen and clicked the box to make it transparent then uploaded the required system file for it to work properly or have manually swapped the PNG file in the apk file.

You should be able to flash it via recovery. Best advice I can give you right now is that you switch the zip from EMMC to MTD( that is the only setting that's ever worked for me No problem)
EDIT: hope you downloaded the settings or at least remember what you want because you'll be uploading to uot kitchen again and recooking the zip file

when you are in the process of summary you have to upload your framework and systemui that you got from your phone. Then you cook the customization that you have created. You will then wait for your pick up.(takes few minutes depending on the demand). When you get your zip file you then save it into your phone and enter into cwr and flash the zip that you got from kitchen.
You don't need to do anything to framework and systemui. Don't worry about those.
