Show off your 360 with different bands and faces

It is pricey, but also material and labor intensive to produce. I have no problem rewarding innovation like this, especially when it's so beneficial. Let's just hope it makes funding goal :)

ok, thats right, im a fashion mo. before i make a fashion fopaux or an unexpected statement on my sexuality, (not that theirs anything wrong with that). are the new 18mm slim steel bands being offered by motorola for girls, or are slim watchbands simply a trending fashion in watches.

Yes, there is something wrong with "that" and yes, 18mm would be for the ladies.

placed an order for the moto 360 with black metal band.

since i am new to wearables and this watch in particular, the cart suggested i add a wireless docking station thingy, to which i did because i did not think the watch shipped with one.

so i am spending time looking over this wearable stuff and found a phandroid vid showing the same dock is in the package..

so am i correct in that the moto360 will indeed ship with a dock the phone sits in? :o

Yeah, marc, it comes with the charging dock already. Having an extra is actually handy, if you're not always near a qi charger though, but if it's overkill for you, you can just return that thing.

coolio. i was reading the other thread about these docks and saw the one you purchased for about 11 bux off amazon. i can use an extra one for sure.

i want to get the power pack micro that moto sells to turn the spare charger into a truly portable solution. they only have lemon and violet though.. that black canvas looks nice...

Yeah, it worked, but wasn't great cuz it required pushing the face down to make sure that it would actually charge, so I ended up buying a second oem, with some gift cards i had.

This is the Rolex Submariner I've been using with WatchMaker.

The font for the date may need tweaking.

Hey this is weird. But even if you don't have a notification to do so, check Motorola Connect on the play store. There is an update that I was able to get that has a few new cool stock faces.

Curious that it only showed it could update once I physically pulled that app up in the store.

Edit: There's even a rudimentary customization face upon which you can add your own background image.

I was waiting for the update and skimmed through my apps list in Play. It wasn't showing at all. I went to 'all' and it was hiding in there, as soon as I selected it I was able to update. Now it's back in 'all', not in my 'main' list. Odd.

Got the update also, after I saw Phandroid article, but customization still limited. So far Watchmaker does seem less draining than facer.

Less draining and much smoother for certain.

I can say, without a doubt, I've seemingly picked up an extra 10-15% of battery life. The weekend messed up my schedule a little, so I wasn't able to test the battery life with unmuted notifications on for an entire day. I plan on charging again tonight, so tomorrow will be the 1st day I can test it out in that manner.

Thanks again for the tip on the battery saving, Skrillex. Not only did Watchmaker make my Rolex watches run more realistically (with the continuous second hand), but also got me to the point that I can go through 2 days of use and save the amount of charging cycles on the battery.

Hey friends,
The new watch face, the one that won the MOTO contest, it shows that it has small hot buttons (for lack of better term) or circular notification bubbles on the screen itself in articles, but not on my watch. When I equip the face, it is just a regular face with notification cards popping up as usual.

I apologize for the oddness of my question, but I'm not sure how else to describe it.

Can anyone confirm that they have the little bubble notifications on theirs?

I'll try to find the link to the article that shows the notifications I'm TRYING to speak of, haha.

Are you talking about this one?

Correct me if I'm wrong but that was a render done by someone for a contest. It was never actually one of the developed watch faces. I think the one that's now included is a face made to look like this render.

Edit: Ok now this is pretty cool. The blued out sections on the ring are events from your calendar showing you as busy for that time.

YES, that is the one. Okay, the article I read last night made it sound like all things that were on the render were possible. Tells me that the source of this article didn't do his/her HW. Okay, I still like the face with the calendar busy time, but those notifications would have really done it for me.

As long as they're not charging a fee for the use of the watch face, I don't see how they have a case. It's the same as putting a picture of a Rolex as my wallpaper.

As a side note, I expect my participation to decline as well since AF has moved away from vBulletin.

Well I finally got my new Moto 360 with the stainless band, awesome upgrade from the leather (and that's saying something because the leather was awesome, very comfortable) I am just more of a stainless steel watch guy.

Anyone seen or make a nice Superman watch face for the 360? Something that has the "S" and maybe time day and date?

Question. I have been using facer for about a week now. I downloaded some faces I liked off of facerepo and have used a few of them. I am seeing a reoccurring issue however. The weather option seems to un-sync over time and I end up with the weather coding on the face instead of the weather display. This is the case for the 4 or 5 different faces I have that display either temp alone or temp and conditions (cloudy, sunny whatever). Anyone else seeing this?
