Show us your Desire Homescreens...

As promised 2 questions

In my right most screen (The one with the girlfriend) I have both a small contact shortcut and a larger picture that isn't interactive. Is there any way/app that will let me use a large (4x4) picture as a contact short?

2nd question - forget it, managed to fix it (shortcuts in PsxGames folder weren't working)

Not the most beautiful or exciting but I do like black and white and minimal screens

All the usual suspects in use here:

* Locker Pro
* Beautiful Widgets
* BattStatt
* Tajm
* AudioManager Pro
* WidgetLocker
* System Info Widget

Oh another question (with regards the same picture - http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v390/nicmel/Right2.png) on the dock both the gmote and Folder Organiser icons are not in fitting with the launcher pro icons I'm using on the rest of the dock.

I do have this icon stored on my SD card, in the same location of the other icons, but I cant seem to set it, for some reason it doesn't show up. Any ideas?

After adding icons to the SD Card, try running SDrescan (app). Takes only 2-3 secs and then everything on the SD Card is available. Works a treat.

Ah man...you have to pay for the skin :( For some reason, I don't find it worth it considering the damn app is only $2 :mad: And I don't feel like paying for a new skin when I change my homescreens. Damn dev knows how to make money!

still didn't work, nice app though thanks

What did fix it was renaming it. Apparantly being called "Folder Organiser" wasn't kosher.

Now to get a gmote icon and a contact widget......

Download sdrescan from the market. Boo DesireMe beat me.

Was just my feeling. Happy to pay for the app but even more just to change the way it looks, and not by much at that!

I'd pay for a transparency control to how I want the widget to be!!! That should have been a feature of the widget. Will email the dev and complain :mad:

It was a pain in the ass to figure out how to take screenshots without root. Anyways, here are two of my homescreens as the rest aren't that interesting yet. Also, spotify's widget is so ugly and kinda ruins my "theme" :(

Nice wallpaper.

How exactly *did* you manage it then? I have tried following the instructions from the "Screenshots - How to guide" thread but I only got as far as downloading the JDK file as I wasn't sure if I should go back into the history and download the 'update 14' file or go for a newer update one since the guide seemed to have been done quite some time ago.

I was seriously out of my technical comfort zone so chickened out and abandoned all hope.

I installed the usual SDK developer stuff from the android developers website. I had to restart the main program a couple of times to get it to download everything I needed though (like the USB files). The main problem for me was that my computer would NOT install the driver files when connecting my Desire (with USB debug mode on, of course). After a bit searching around, I found out that you had to open a text file and edit in a few lines for it to recognize the Desire properly or something (\android-sdk-windows\usb_driver\android_winusb).

Code:
Under [Google.NTx86], copy paste this:
;HTC Desire
%SingleAdbInterface%        = USB_Install, USB\VID_0BB4&PID_0C87
%CompositeAdbInterface%     = USB_Install, USB\VID_0BB4&PID_0C87&MI_01
;

So it will look like this:
[Google.NTx86]
;HTC Desire
%SingleAdbInterface%        = USB_Install, USB\VID_0BB4&PID_0C87
%CompositeAdbInterface%     = USB_Install, USB\VID_0BB4&PID_0C87&MI_01
;
; HTC Dream
%SingleAdbInterface%        = USB_Install, USB\VID_0BB4&PID_0C01
%CompositeAdbInterface%     = USB_Install, USB\VID_0BB4&PID_0C02&MI_01
%SingleBootLoaderInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_0BB4&PID_0FFF
; HTC Magic
%CompositeAdbInterface%     = USB_Install, USB\VID_0BB4&PID_0C03&MI_01
;
etcetc

After that, I could connect my Desire, properly install the drivers (by manually directing to their location) and open up the program (\android-sdk-windows\tools\ddms.dos) and at last take a screenshot under the "Device" tab.

Um, hope this helped. I'm not good to explain.

I see that you live in Norway, so please can I ask you a question about Beautiful Widgets. I live in the UK but have my phone switched to Norwegian, partly because that's how I like it and partly as a deterrent to stop people fiddling with my phone at work. Is there any way to get Beautiful Widgets to display the weather in Norwegian and say "Regn" instead of "Rain"? The stock HTC weather widget manages this well. Tusen takk.

I have no idea, man. Beklager. I doubt it's possible.

I haven't found anything that hasn't been translated yet :D

Apart from a Chinese app and the default name for a folder is in Chinese, but it can be changed easily...

Hey man. I just flashed that ROM myself. Love it! However, how do you change the language in the notification drop down? there are a couple of icons that are in Chinese - and I've no idea how to change it to English.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Edit: Scrap that. All I needed to do was reboot the phone. Lol. Thanks anyways.
