I am currently new to this forum...i Have the HTC Desire from US Cellular. I am just wondering if some people could possibly give me a list of Apps in the Market that i must have in order to Fully Customize my phone. I have Launcher Pro Plus, and i am currently still using the HTC Sense. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....also need some good Agenda widgets, Memory Widgets, Battery widgets......:) Thanks.

It takes a while to read back through this thread, but trust me it's worth it for all the little tips you will pick up! Most of your questions will be answered by doing that, plus you get to see pictures of what the apps/widgets look like on a Homescreen :)

As for customisation, I use Launcher Pro Plus, Widget Locker (custom lock screen), Beautiful Widgets (clock, weather, date & location), and SwitchPro for my system toggles. I get wallpaper from Zedge, and dock backgrounds from LauncherPro Icons. Look for my posts further back in this thread, there are names and links to everything I use.
 
Ok, so i got something pretty good goin on for my first homescreen...it is a Red and Black Theme...found some pretty awesome Icons...i will post pictures once it is done, and when i figure out how to take a picture of my homescreen lol.....I am looking for a few things though.

I am looking for battery life widgets that can be customized to red or black
Agenda widget that can be customized to red
possibly a nice font package
and memory usage widgets that can be customized to red or black.....

Please help out if you know if i can get any of this....Thanks.

might be helpful if you posted some screenshots. then we'd know what you wanted and we could admire your handywork...
 
is there anyway possible that i can use a different launcher and still use the Sense Widgets? I am really wanting to use launcher pro Plus, and they have alternative widgets almost just like the sense ones, but i can not get get facebook to sign in under launcher pro. Any suggestions?
 
Had a go at the Man U one, haven't shooped in a while, so it's pretty crude and I couldn't be bothered to shade it :p

I wonder if anybody can help me with a Launcher Pro question.
When i use the People widget it is not displaying any of my contacts at all even if i select all contacts?
Any ideas?

So have you downloaded LP plus and it won't work or is it just not working in LP?

I've been in the same boat. Loved LP but missed the sense widgets. Finally took the leap last week and Download LP Plus and loving it. FB widget works better than the sense one. Just waiting for him to make a news one now as cannot find a decent one in the market.
 
Hey, I have been creeping on this thread for a while. Got heaps of good Ideas from here so I decided to post my screen shots. I actually have a fourth screen, but I am looking for a good news widget to fill it (I am using buzzbox atm which is good but the widget doesnt update).

Edit. I forgot to mention that the screen with the clock is the main one and the calendar is to the left and the app one is to the right

I had the same problem when I first starting using LP, and I'm banging my head against the wall trying to think of how I sorted it!

I seem to remember that there are sometimes problems when installing it for the first time. I think the developer's advice was to uninstall it and install again from the market (it's still free if you paid for it already). I'm fairly sure that did the trick.
