Do you prefer AOSP over Sense (or other skins) then?

See I prefer AOSP on my tablet, couldn't imagine anything else on it but there's just too many features on Sense that I couldn't live without on AOSP on a phone (there might be apps that do the same though) like the quick dialler, Facebook integration, email app etc.

You can only get rid of the clock in the notification bar if you're rooted and running a custom ROM, if you are then the Suite Tools on a ROM like ARHD will give you the option to remove the clock.

Thanks... I'm not rooted yet, thinking of doing it, but still... I don't know, jailbreaking the iphone was easy, rooting seems more complicated, with all the roms that seems to exist... we'll see...

Played around and made some changes. Nova Launcher Prime with Simple Text, Minimalistic Text, DIGI Clock Widget, Beautiful Widgets, and Omega Status bar...

As of right now, using a combination of widget locker and Apex launcher to get closer to a stock ICS theme:

Still looking for a notification bar replacement (through the play store since I don't have time to root) to make the notification bar and tray more like ICS. If you know of any please let me know!

I don't believe you can change the notification/status bar icons without root I'm afraid.

Looks good though! :)

You can see Omega Statusbar in my screenshot above. I really prefer the way it looks to the stock one with the green battery indicator.

The only problem I have with it is that notifications don't always clear unless I open the app and go into "pop-ups", then they go away...

I wish there was a fix for that...

Decided to try out different themes.

Still running Android Revolution HD but with the Holo Light theme by the Virtuous Team, quite liking it do far and going to give it a go for a while:

Time to share :)
This is still WIP, working mainly with icons from BlackBearBlanc shared on XDA forum, but also others borrowed from various skins/themes, can't remember all of them.
Started to learn to use MinimalisticText, Tasker and UCCW.
Using Nova launcher and Widgetlocker.

Thanks :)
Still working on it, for some reason the mail counter (UCCW) on the lockscreen is not working
Also it seems it can only be linked to a gmail address, but I've got bunch of other emails, ideally I'd like to have one counter for all of them, I'll have to look what/how to do that.
I've spent lot of time on XDA forum, learned a lot.
Really like the simplistic style of some of the themes.

Love my android phone even more now :D
So easy to customize compare to my iphone, even though there is still some limitations cause I'm not rooted, there are still lots of possibilities/tools.

I think I've finally gotten down the theme I want out of the stock sense ROM on the phone...

Lock Screen:

For this, I'm using the stock HTC sense lock screen (with shortcuts turned off) with the Holo Light sense theme (google play store link) for a stock look, but still the reliability (I had issues with widget locker sometimes not working, and the capacitive buttons skipping over the lock screen) of the built in ROM. It also, just like a built in or HTC-downloaded sense theme, changes most of the UI elements in HTC apps, and in my opinion makes things just a little closer to the stock look.

Home Screen:

This is just Nova Prime with a beautiful widgets skin on it for the clock.

Notification Bar:

Again, The Holo Light sense theme provides for the different look, and settings extended gives me the settings toggles. I'm hoping, once AT&T decides that us peasants on their network can have jellybean, that this will look even more like the stock notification panel.

I think I can live with this for a while, though, although the probable next step is to root and wipe and install cm, but I can't afford another battery life hit (the stock ROM is bad enough as is).

Here's mine...
