as long as you have the files name right it should work

use root explorer and delete everything in the folder before you try adding your new ones and see how it does

i tried deleting the ctmod images and putting mine in the video/shutdown folder.when i do this it goes to a blank shutdown screen but it is trying to display something because i noticed when i remove the video shutsown directory the shut down popup stays on the screen and says shutting down phone. is it the size of the file maybe... cause i noticed your shutdown folder from the rom is only 10.4 kb and mine is 1.09 mb

download PNGGauntlet to compress your files

I use Cyanogen so there is no video/shutdown folder but...have you tried putting them into a zip file anyway just like boot ani? Just a thought.

OR maybe have you tried jpg's? since that wat boot uses. OR (lol) do you maybe need 2 include a desc.txt with the fps n size?...lol idk

I PM'd you Rob but idk if u got it....gif files only support 256colors, whereas .png use up to 8mil or so...also the bitrate of .png go as high as 64 so I wonder if samsung is lookin' for a high bitrate with their animations and since u converted from .gif (low bit-rate <8 probably>) to .png (potentially high bit-rate) you need to change that bit-rate to something higher *start wit 16 and work ur way up*.
