Root Sigh...please help

Lurker
Hi Guys,
I'm a long time reader of these forums and have always found the solutions to my problems without having to post but this one seems to be a doozy.. I've been up all night and day trying to fix this to no avail. I tried to root my phone last night using unrevoked, then autoroot 2.5, neither of them were successful. unrevoked 3 kept giving me the CID error, autoroot would just stop halfway through. Though, unrevoked was successful in making my phone go to s-off. Thinking it was rooted, I tried to flash using a rom from Virus over on XDA but I think I did something wrong. Needless to say, from there on, things have been fubar.

Whenever I try to boot, it will get to the main 4G screen, then buzz 5 times and go black. The green notification light will blink but nothing else.

Somehow, I tried to do recoveries and following the various recovery methods, I was able to get S-ON (I really have no idea how).
I can acess the HBOOT screen, but nothing else really works. I downloaded all the drivers from the dummies tutorial on this site. Using the USB Plug method, I tried using the RUU 3.70 exe file, it kept saying that the device couldn't be seen.
I downloaded PC36IMG_SuperSonic_S_Sprint_WWE_3.70.651.1_Radio_2.15.00.11.19_NV_1.90_release_161482_signed.zip changed it to PC36IMG.zip and installed it, rebooted, a green USB logo with a down arrow would appear on the screen and it would just buzz 5 times and then hang at the black screen.

I've tried almost all methods I've read on here and xda at least ten times each, no dice.

Does ANYONE have any suggestions or tips for me?

My info is as follows:
S-on
HBOOT 2.10.0001
Radio 2.15.00.11.19

Need any more info?

Please help, usually I can work my way through things but each time I try a solution, it ends up failing on me. So I'm desperate. I use this phone a lot for work so for me to not have it working is a real bad situation.

Thanks in advance for any help!
ps.. sorry for the long story, was trying to give as much info as possible.

sorry, one more thing: After installing the latest img file, I lost my ability to recover.. before I could go to recover, where it would say that it can't mount the SD card, but now that's not even there, just the red triangle.. pls help!

Step 1.
go to this page and download the pc36img file [Recovery] [09-Feb-2011] RA-supersonic-v2.3 - xda-developers

Step 2. Pull your sdcard, get a micro sdcard reader and put your sdcard into it and put into your pc

Step 3. put file on root of your sdcard

step 4. put sdcard back into phonr and boot into bootloader.

step 5. let it install the pc36img file.

Hopefully you will now have RA recovery.

next download a rom. put it in the root of your sdcard and flash it from recovery and see what results you get

nice to see you back wake :) havent seen ya around for a while:( anywho, i totally agree with this, but id keep my rom zips in a specific folder. you used to hafta have the o.s.'s on the root of the card, but dont anymore. Im only suggesting this for orginizational purposes. mine are in a folder called z-roms. the z is so its at the bottom of the list making it easily accessable by hitting the vol dn button only a couple of times :)

sidenote: i do the same thing with bootanimations, kernels, stuff, junk, other stuff LoL (you get my point) it just makes it so much easier than having to go to the middle of the list which can get to be quite lengthy if you allow apks to create their own data folders n stuff
