Bueller? Anyone?
Lol.
I am still convinced this is a hardware problem. May not manifest itself except under certain conditions @ the tower or something, but I don't think it's just going to fix itself.

Roger that.
You got your phone at Costco right? So did I. My phone was great up until one week ago. Since then, multiple data/voice drops per day. Want to call them to see about a swap. Did they give you a hard time about it? Is your replaced device any better?
Thanks.

Ya right...

then tell them you know someone who had the same problem and a swap fixed it. If they still give you crap, remind them that the 90 day return policy states you can exchange for any reason.I am still convinced this is a hardware problem. Mine has been pretty bad since this past Thursday, where prior to that, it was solid.
I run different roms but for the most part have been on Redemption and/or CNA.
Not sure what to do at this point. Just to clarify, I lose voice and data. Its becoming quite frequent. Strange as I said, it only started this past Thursday for me.
Not sure whether to hang in there, or call Costco so see about a replacement. I wonder if that will even fix it?
I chimed-in fairly early in this thread, not noticing much of a problem. Well, that's all changed. I, too, am experiencing frequent drops of 4G/3G & phone operation. Seems to happen at random times, even when I have 4 bars of 4G.
I'm tempted to exchange it at Costco, but I'm not yet convinced it's the actual phone. Got mine a couple of weeks ago -- Android 4.0.2, Build # ICL53F (if that's relevant...). And, I'm not rooted.
I'm really trying to like this phone...

I think this is mostly VZW tower or bad batch issue. For some reason, the latest builds seem to work better on signal reception.
When you say "latest builds" are you referring to later build dates or the leaked 4.0.4 radio or ROM?
I would disagree with both assertions:
1. the build date of the 2 I had drops with were 12/23 (same with this one, though it doesn't have the problem). The one I had with manufacture date 11/16 did not have the drops.
2. the later radio/ROM builds have been reported to NOT help with people having the issue.
I have a rezound and a MIFI at home. The MIFI never has a problem, where as the rezound bonks out many times a day. To minimize the impact of the rezound I simply keep Pandora running on the phone while I turn on the Hot Spot to connect with my Apple TV. This has kept me from throwing my rezound against the wall, while still not a perfect science as I still get "delays" and "drops" but to a much less degree. The 4G phones from Verizon all use the new SIM cards which is exactly why it's pervasive across all the phones... Now, I will say that the Samsung products may also be "garbage" as I purchased the Samsung MIFI before my existing Novatel based MIFI and can honestly say I will never buy a Samsung Product again based on that experience. Worst product I had ever seen. Now whether that translates into their phones or not, I don't know, but I'll never one to find out. Happy Trails!
