Help Signal sound getting annoying

I live in an area where my signal comes in and out a lot, and the tone alerts when I get and lose signal and is getting annoying.

I have looked for settings to turn this off, without any luck. Any ideas?

Have you gone to system/media/ui and removed it from there completely?

system/media/audio/ui has many of the phones tones, but that one is not one of them.

Thanks for trying but not such luck.

I am using file explorer and have it set to show invisible files.

I have the same problem when at home, my service is pretty much nonexistent.
I get just enough of a signal to make that bleep go off constantly not to mention drain my battery in no time.

What I do when at home is go into airplane mode and switch on wifi and use grooveip to make and receive calls.

an interesting workaround, however, I would still like to know if anyone knows where that annoying tone is in my phone so I can kill it

I often use my phone as an MP3 player for my radio and any time the signal fades, the music is interrupted to play that stupid tone, only to play it again 4 second later to say, Hey, you have signal again
