Well Im on my third Triumph in 4 months. First phone developed a white screen about 50% of the time when coming out of sleep mode. Second phone wouldn't charge while turned on and only on the factory charger at that. This is my third. If it doesn't work then Im switching. Simple runs on the T Mobile network and they offer 4g speeds in most metro areas. Even have it here in my little burg. You can use any unlocked GSM phone and their unlimited 4g plan is only $60 per month. Hate to be a downer but if the third time isn't a charm then this Triumph user is headed elsewhere.

Were you using stock ROM? Both of these problems sound like software problems that CM7 would be able to fix.

yeah stock Rom. I'm trying to decide between CM7 and Isaac's MIUI build. I still have the stock 2g sd card so I can't back up with clockword mod. As soon as my new card gets here, I'll be making the transition. I think the thing about simple that's appealing is the 4g speeds

4G is more of a marketing gimmick. 3G (if the network is good) is capable of 2+ Mbps, which is more than enough for smartphone use (unless you're streaming 720p HD video). Most of the network problems are due to latency, not throughput.

The other determining factor would be the availability of handsets. I worked in the wireless industry about 10 years ago and am becoming concerned with these problems. I'll soon find out if my problems were software or hardware related.

Dude just do both and decide which one you like more. I've run both. MUIU reminds me of iPhone (personally this just pisses me off. Same reason I don't like touchwiz) but CM7 with the ICS theme is pretty sweet and so much faster and removes all software problems I had

Miui to me is better but you should try both depending on your style and feel to it miui frankly looks prettier
