If I root my phone will I need to unroot to get the OTA when 2.2 comes out or will it simply wipe my root out? Im not planning on doing any voodoo till after 2.2 but root would be fun to play with.

Based on September's OTA, as long as all the necessary bloat was there the OTA went thru and root was lost. That's no guarantee it will be the same for a Froyo OTA however, its likely to be the same methinks
