Help SimpleText App/4G Troubleshooting

Hey All -

Just got myself an HTC Evo 4G and was looking for a minimalistic approach in regards to my icons. I recently installed SimpleText on my Evo and began playing around.

I seem to be having issues with setting up a shortcut using the icon I made in SimpleText for text messages. I was able to create successfully new icons for my contact list, gmail and voicemail.

The only one giving me an issue is the last one I am hoping to create which is for text messages...after creating the shortcut it reverts to the stock icon and I can't seem to do anything to make the SimpleText shortcut stick.

Not sure if I did a good job in explaining this issue, anyone else come across this before? Any tips?

For anyone that cares - Issue is resolved. The problem seemed to be in relation to the stock HTC Launcher, installed the Go Launcher Ex and coupled it with SimpleText and it works without issue.

i appreciate it very much that you came back to update your thread. this tip will definitely help others. i had no idea that it has issues with the sense launcher. thanxx again

Thanks ocnbrze, yeah I figured it was for the best to include the fix as I'm sure I won't be the only one to come across the issue.


atljatl - Why did you have to inform me of Metrostation?!? Instead of working, I just spent my entire morning changing my icons over from SimpleText to Metrostation.

I know. Golauncher with all its customization freedom doesn't help. Don't blame it all on me. BTW... I hesitate to mention it, but I'm using adw now and their minimalist black/white themes are even better than go launcher...
