Help Since latest Android update, phone constantly activates wireless

I received the Android system update on 6/25 and, since then, the phone activates wireless networking every couple hours. I normally keep the wireless deactivated to preserve the 4G's awful battery life and now I can't keep it shut off. Help?

try just rebooting the phone. if that does not work then try and do hard reset(factory reset).
