Root Sister Phones for Porting?

I've been trying to search the forums for a listing of our sister phones. Reading around states i should attempt it from a similar device.
Any help is greatly appreciated as usual!!

Get in touch with someone who's posted a ported ROM like Sharp or U9000 (b_randon14 I think).

Here is the list I have... Don't know if it's complete.

Huawei U9000 IDEOS X6
Cherry Mobile Magnum
Olive Smart VS300
Spice CSL Mi 410 - Slim

I see alot of those are GSM based. Can I port a GSM based rom to a CDMA phone? Guessing there's some work to be done afterwards. Sorry for the newb questions. Doing as much reading as I can.

They are mostly GSM, that is the problem. ;)

I just started a thread, since more people are asking about the other X6 variants. It should be a good place for you to start.
