Siyah Gingerbread kernel (v2.x)

That's inevitable during beta testing. I've seen other devices get three or four different releases in 24hrs!

Siyah 2.2beta16 or beta6 seemed pretty good for everyone, regardless of the ROM.

Siyah 2.2 and Siyah 2.2nolog are up!

Check your governors after flashing.

lulzactive = smooth scrolling using Launcher Pro 3D app drawer and stock browser.

lagfree = ditto

smarassv2 = ditto

conservative = ditto

ondemand = ditto

performance = ditto

BLN working.

I/O Scheduler = sio. 100->1200MHz. No Profiles. Stock voltage.

Looking good so far.

Now lets see what it does to the battery! :D

I/O Scheduler = vr works well too.

Siyah 2.2nolog version

I've just uploaded nolog version.
printk, seclog and android logger is disabled.
but I think latest patches from codeaurora for printk code really works and I felt no difference between those two.
I am back to logging-enabled one.

Just swithched to Siyah 2.2nolog. Maybe, just maybe, a little smoother. Hard to tell unless you have the two side-by-side.

Tried undervolting by -75 across the board and no problems so far. Using cfq I/O Scheduler

cheers. I'm just on with that now & have a question.

when flashing 'as a normal package', should i 'apply udate from sdcard' or 'install zip from sdcard'?

Cheers. Things aint looking good though :)

I've ran the kernel cleaner & flashed siyah beta6. I've got a screen off profile of 100 & 500 (on the cfroot kernel it was 100 & 200) with the scaling set to conservative. My main scaling is set to ondemand.

I'm still having problems with the phone coming back to life though. Gonna try different scaling options to see what happens. Is this the best thing to be trying?

EDIT - I've set the main scaling to lulzactive & it seems to be responsive now. Phew :P

I've been sitting with his blog open in a tab checking every 30min, and he goes and posts it "there"? :P

Smartassv2 is looking fine right now. Back on my usual setup and it's bliss.... :)

:D:D:D

Just to see if you were paying attention! Which you weren't!

So it's back to the head's study for you my lad for six of the best. :D

I did add the front page link in my post as an after thought as most people would be checking the blog.

Early days I know, but the indications are looking very good so far.

Running 2.2nolog with lulzactive on cfq with no Profiles and -75 across the board u/v for the time being.

Of course, the real acid test, will be Sydney99. If it works for both him and me... it should work for anybody. :D

Running nolog as well. The app draw is nice and smooth, maybe there's still a little lag with the browser but that could just be my tired eyes. No problems with undervolting or a screen off policy of 100-200.

man, I was settling in nicely with my speedmod 18test11 (smooth as you like and great battery so far), and thinking i couldn't be bothered testing another siyah, but you've gone and tempted me...........

Famous last words. After an hour of running fine my phone now refuses to wake up from the screen off policy. The only cure is boot into recovery then reboot from there.

Are you using a sleep profile with it?

I haven't set one up, so only the defaults of the governor. It did it on a couple of them but I haven't tried lulzactive yet which I think I read sorted the problem so will have to try that in a bit

lulzactive is my governor of choice at the moment, with cfq I/O scheduler. It doesn't require a sleep profile as it automatically uses the minimum setting for screen off.

I did remove "performance" folder earlier that I installed a couple of days ago... as per hawkers post.

Oh...... poo! :P

I've been boning up on the init.d possibilities. Once I get some nourishment (and a couple of backups made) it's time to try play. Mwahahahaha! :eek:

Why do I get the feeling that you're going to try and break it? :eek:
