size of the phone and fitting in my jean pocket was worrying me when i was deciding to buy the X. Bit because the phone is so slim it actually fits better in my jean pocket than my previous phone(storm...). The height does come into play if you are sitting down and hunched over but not as bad as you think. For anyone considering the X but is worried because of size it's not really that big a deal. However one handed use might be troublesome for people with small hands.

I went from an LG Voyager to this and it's not a problem at all. Like... I've never even considered it for a second. Perfect phone. Perfect size.

I wear normal loose fit jeans (not 501's) waist size 30" (if this really even matters) and I put my phone and my wallet in the same pocket (the wallet and phone are side by side in my pocket mind you, not on top of each other). and it doesn't phase me one bit.

I agree.
It's barely larger than my Samsung Behold 2.
Behold 2 Total size (2.23" x 4.6" x 0.51" ) Screensize 3.2"
Droid X Total Size (2.6" x 5.0" x 0.4")
When people look at the size they think its is insane, that's when I pull up a HQ Youtube video running 16:9 and then they just drool.

The phone is a nice size. I wear size 30 jeans and the phone fits fine. I sometimes don't even notice it's in my pocket.
