Skins or Protective Cover

Anyone got any cool skins or casing for the G1? Most stores make stuff for the Iphone but not much for G1. Any pictures of them?
 
ive got this in black and white. also have a mirror screen cover. just look on ebay. all things from hong kong take about 2 weeks to arrive, but theyre the cheapest in price. ***edit. it may not take that long for you.

Looks like it fits over it.

I'd love to get a protective case or skin for my G1.

But the UK doesn't exactly have a wide range.

And I'm sure I'll get raped with fees, if I get one imported. -_-

its waaaay good. ive ordered 2 colors and they both have a great fit. ive dropped my phone twice since its been on and still dont have one scratch. it looks so good i can sell my phone as new. as far as the mirror screen cover, well it comes in handy for me if i ever need a mirror, but in the sun light it kinda sucks. im usually indoors when im looking at my phone so its not that big of a deal.

Yeah that green one looks really cool. Still not too sure whether it goes over my existing one of replaces it?
 
I keep thinking about getting a mirrored screen cover, but I have heard people have ripped them off after using them for a while. Some say they start to fray at the top where you drag the notification bar down, others say lighting conditions make them hard to read.

I'd like to hear good stories about these

I am in the category you mention. Both happened. And battery life goes down cause you have to jack up the brightness. But cool factor was pretty sweet. I like shiny things. I don't have them anymore.

As for the original poster. I have bought and helped a friend install a protector from Ebay. Their's included a free car charger, which was nice. There are literally millions of options on ebay. Their's is hard plastic painted with a silicone/matte feel in ruby red. It is slick. They have dropped it a few times and once the piece popped off but the phone itself is still good. Their frequent drops made this a must have item.

Silicone looks nice. Secret always finds good stuff.

***edit. after installing the rubber case, i ripped off the usb door cuz its kinda hard to open. its been fine, you just gotta keep it clean.

lol, thanks^^^^^ i havent had any fraying problems with my mirror cover, but you do have to make the screen brighter if your eyes arent too good. also the green case does go over your phone. ill post pics as soon as it comes in. but i really do recommend the blaack silicone case. great product. i have like 3 black ones and one white one from different ebay sellers from hong kong and they all seem to fit really good.

So in the original image you posted, a black silicone for the body but NOT the screen right? And the silicone slipped over the menu, home, back etc buttons right?

This new one is a combo plastic and silicone? It also has the screen protector? What's the link on ebay and your cost?

One question SAM, how's the button press ability of the 5 buttons under the silicone shell? The hard plastic covers have a hole that sometimes makes it hard to seat your finger in, not overly hard, just harder than no coverplate. Is this easier?

its actually a nice feel. it does this "clicking" feeling and sound. its alot easier to navigate to which ever button you want without looking.
 
@SAM - old thread, but I just found the fishbone case on a deal on ebay.

One thing I couldn't figure out, does the black silicone area show the red/green/white hard key lights through the silicone? It would appear not, but figured you might know. Does this matter to you?

Are you still using this case?
