ok I tired yesterday may 5 2011 to get help with using skype but it got lost in all the OLD posts. wazzup w that ? got posts all the way back to 08.
I came to droid forum to see if ANYONE can help with my problem, so here it is. I'm trying to use my paid for ($20 extra) 3g hotspot on my desktop to access skype video call but keep getting "the current network does not support the current network.Please try another" and tip:skype does not work with private or closed networks.
O.K. so it's trying to tell me to reconfigure my pc. I know it has something to do with settings but can't figure out which or where without turning my firewall off completely,which of course I'm not that ******ed. Running windows 7, 3g=56mbs +-,1mb ram......
Please help 'cause momma n me wanna see army wife daughter and grandbaby stationed in Ky. P.M.would be nice to save data xfer (2gb) sowe can use for high rate video feed. mostly use phone for surfing and such but using hotspot for this mssg
 
R. U. There? I didn't quite get it but I sent pm. Please pick up mssge. I'm asking alotta questions but HARD to find GOOD HELP. I'll hit the help button a lot if I can get real HELP!!!!
Not really but I would b grateful.
 
just checking op is your mobie the only means of accessing the net ,you have no wired or wifi connection.
I might be wrong but i belive you need the above or the carrier needs to support it .In the uk there was only 1 company that did .
If there is a wifi hotsopt near you try that .it will prove/disprove the theory. I know on my vodafone mobile i can only use skype ove a wif connection.
