Help skyrocketing to the note

Hi,
I got tired of waiting for the note to come out, and got a skyrocket.
Lo and behold, a week later the note comes out (AT+T). Not the end of the world since there is a 30 day grace period. so amazon is going to swap them out and charge me the difference.
so all is well in the world. fortunately i have a few days overlap to transfer contacts and stuff. my question, being they are basically the same phone, only bigger, same OS and chip, I expect there is an easy way to migrate my contacts, programs, settings and the like.
does anyone knot how to do this?
thanks.
BTW for reference purposes, my main reason for wanting a note is because it looks a little less like a phone, and should be less likely to aggravate administration then a phone on the hospital floor, but still let me carry all my reference material and programs with me, and is a little more pocket friendly than an i-pad, lol. I do think if samsung sets themselves up to cater to this market they will benefit greatly.

Your contacts should automatically be backed up and saved to your main Google account, so they should automatically sync with your Note when you sign in. As for Apps, and settings this is a little bit tougher.

There are apps such as Titanium Backup that will let you backup your apps and settings. The only problem is, in order to transfer all of your settings+data you will need to be rooted. I don't know of any apps that will allow you to transfer all of this information without rooting.

Edit: This article should definitely help you out, it even has detailed instructions. :)

Nice idea - but the only thing people ever say to me is "That is a massive phone..." !!

wrt to your apps, your paid for ones will still registered on the market and you can download them as usual.
