Root Smart Keyboard Pro after root?

I'm sure I'm doing something stupid here, but after rooting and applying the Super Clean rom and Stupidfast kernel, I don't seem to be able to be able to use Smart Keyboard Pro. The app and English component are installed, the menu is there under keyboards, but after clicking it on, the keyboard always seems to be Android no matter what I do. Doesn't work either after quitting out apps like messaging after applying the change. Is there any known issues, or am I missing something here?

You went into language and keyboard in settings and made sure it was checked off?

Yes I did. I was specifically looking to use T9 again. I selected to use T9 while in Portrait mode. That wasn't working, so I decided to change the skin and check my keyboard. The skin remained as the Android default despite closing my messaging app.

Thanks, that did it! :) Started off this thread by noting I knew I was doing something stupid. AND THERE IT IS!
Good stuff. This might be implied already but let me also just add any and all changes you make need in your Keyboard settings also need to be made in your text window. That is you basically enable the use of SKP in Settings but to engage it or anything other keyboard installed and enabled its still thru the direct app itself
