Root SMS delay

Hello Again All!

I am having an issue with receiving SMS messages. I can send it real time, but it is taking about an hour (tested with roommate) for me to get a message.

Happened once before I rooted back many months ago, but I ended up calling virgin to complain.

Now that I am rooted, is there a quick fix?
 
It's a VM issue, not a ROM issue, so any fix would have to come from VM. One trick that sometimes works for some people is to clear the messaging cache, and the telephony cache, then reboot. (ymmv)

I know it's frustrating, imagine testing out a new build of ICS and thinking messaging isn't working because you don't get a response. You make some more changes that take an hour or so to compile, then just as you are about to reboot into recovery to flash the changes, you receive the missing messages.

Ahhh the life of a ROM developer. ;)

Went into both messaging and go sms and had no cache to clear....

Thanks for the help, tough that this is being difficult
