Root SMS Error fix (s-off required)

Geesh Krowley and Leslie Anne , by the time you get done we will have sprint phones with vm bills :-)

Thanks for all of this!

I do have a full Sprint phone, even the label. :D

We are getting there. The phone is getting better and better, that is for sure. The radio is the last step and the initial minute since I flashed it, it already looks better..

It stinks we need to do so much.
I know some might say it's equivalent to the Triumph, needing to be modded out of the box, but really it's a good phone when you get it. It's not like this phone was broken out of the box, perfect? No, but it worked quite well. This just makes it the phone perform to it's potential.

Which radio are you running? Have tried 0808 and 1216. Had issues in 1216 with the phone not wanting to boot after it rebooted itself. It just sort of wigged out. Back to 0808 right now. For the record neither seems to get a signal in my office so I really am working in a cell signal black hole. May try others at some point if anyone has had good luck with any of them.

I am guessing you are using an app like speed test right? It is not telling you that you are connecting to a tower there, it is telling you that is where the server in which your data is being routed through. It will be the same on a Sprint phone because the Sprint North America HQ is located here.

No I am talking about the actual SID, I found a list (along with PRLs) that have SID numbers and their locations (as well as their providers), and 04139 is the one I am connected to, which is in Kansas City. There is one in New Orleans that is much closer with number 04159. Why would it not use that one? They are both listed as Sprint PCS.

Whatever Krowley3 sent, which I have to say its excellent!

Reception is now better than my blackberry, OV, and Evo 4g. Absolutely awesome. I will have more when I get done working.

Please create a post with the radio, PRL, and PRI for download all in one, it's getting confusing to keep track of which ones people are talking about.

Running that same setup of the pri, prl and radio and all seems to be working well. Just wish I could get a signal in my office, although after 2 years I am used to flipping on groove ip.

Can someone send me this magical radio everyone's talking about? Or do I just flash any sprint one in bootloader?

Same here. I want to give these radios a try. I already flashed the PRI.

EDIT: Okay, I just got ENG HBOOT. So now I'm ready to try out these radios. Leslie Ann or Krowley3, could you send me a link please? Thanks.
