Help SMS/MMS Issues.

Does go sms pro use data or text with AT&T?
Text charges apply with Handcent - too bad....liked it!

i bought my dad the HUAWEI ASCEND M860 phone at metropcs yesterday and i sent him two different pictures from my phones and they wont download and it just says downloading but they never do how can i fix this im used to my epic doing everything so fast and i cant figure this one out??????????????
 
Roommate just upgraded from Samsung Messager to the Ascend with Cricket. Phone is a bit frustrating for her, particularly in regard to SMS issues. Texts that she sends sometimes take several minutes, sometimes several hours to arrive on recipient's phone. Incoming SMS also sometimes takes a long time to arrive. In addition, recipients in her contact list will occasionally receive texts in the middle of the night consisting of numbers and random gibberish.

The phone has also been having problems with dropped calls and 3G connectivity. I did the *221 connect trick, but it's still doing the same nonsense. Anyone else with the Ascend via Cricket having these same issues?
 
I've had this phone for about two months now and I cannot save photos from picture messages! Does anyone know how to do it?

I'm not sure, but try looking in your gallery. It should be in one of them albums, since you had to download the picture, in order to view it. So hit the apps button, then gallery, and you should probably find it around there.
 
As soon as I posted this, I figured it out.
you have to press and hold on the photo, then hit the ball, press pause then press and hold on the photo and it says save.

Hello, I am having diffulties with opening or reviewing MMS messages. I press the download button and it stays in that stage for a great amount of time. There isn't even an error involved, it just doesn't open. Please help if you've had similar problems. Thank you for your time.

What ROM are you using? and are you using stock messenger? just shooting in the dark but if your not, try downloading with the stock messenger.. also, CM7 i know has issues with receiving texts from iphones sometimes..

now how do u save while in a slideshow cuz that didnt work for me even tho it should have
 
mine did that but all of sudden it works. i think its signal problems because in my house it woundt work but if i go to my backyard it downloads...
 
Yeah mine was crapping out on me the other day too.. Random errors like that are just metro and signal issues i suppose.. hate it when its just after a new flash though :D
 
I have a rooted Huawei Ascend(2.2 with Cyanogenmod 6). I used to use Handcent SMS, as my messaging alternative, for about a month. But I recently uninstalled it, bc it kept duplicating text messages. And it also kept resending me text messages from minutes/hours ago. Now I'm using the stock messaging software. But it is now doing the same thing(duplicating text messages, and resending old ones) What is going on? This is one annoying issue >=o!

It's your service provider,not a phone or app issue.

Wow. Now that sucks, because lets say you text me saying, 'lol', bc of something funny I said, then we stop talking or you end up falling asleep.. A few minutes/hours later, I will receive the same 'lol', and I'm thinking you just sent it, that second. Which isn't the case. So it makes things confusing. Thanks for the help :)
 
I can't seem to receive mms on wifi and I keep getting the same message sent like 20 times. I tried dialing *228 & updating the roaming list. I did this like 5 times.
Only time I receive mms is on metro's 1x.

I'm on cm7 06242011. Everything was running fine up until a couple weeks ago.

Move if necessary
 
Okay so this issue i have been having is annoying me alot.
Because every time i receive a text message i get two notification noises and two messages. now here's some more information on this problem i need help on.

Please help to stop the double messaging deal

I run GO SMSPro, and with the newest update it stops the whole double message thing. I have used it on stock 2.1, 2.2, as well as CM6 and CM7 and it worked great. So i would say give it a try.
