Help SMS while on phone call??

[izzy35]

Is there a way for me to still receive a notification, both sound and in the status bar, when on a phone call??

If you leave vibrate on, it will vibrate reaaaally loud, lol... People on the other line are convinced I've taken in a duck.

Just looked, and Chomp SMS has an option to play the notification during a call (and not vibrate!!) I just set it and will test it out after work

Hahahaaa!!! i don't get anything. the only time I know that I have a message is bc I happen to glance at the screen.

Handcent has this feature. You can't set the ringtone though.

Do you know if the stock app or SMS PopUp has it??

Why not use an extended functionality app? There is a free version of Handcent that is betterer (yes, I know its not a real word).

Hahaha!! Betterer~~that's awesome!! I tried using Handcent and wasn't crazy about it. got used to the stock up and just added SMS Pop Up, being that the pop up was what I really liked about handcent.

That's nothing. I would have used "betterester" but I don't think handcent is that good.
