so has anyone scratched thier naked screen

I haven't, but am very careful and have the phone in a leather pouch when its not in my hand. 8 mo. No scratch.. but I have heard that if you do go naked and slide in and out of your pocket and its not in a case,, you stand to get some scratches from sand/dirt and the like.

I carry mine with keys, pocket knife and various other pocket items and have no scratches yet. Pulling my screen protector off was a great idea. Everything is so much more responsive and the color is better also.

Not sure about the Fascinate, but I can tell you that the Samsung Epic / Captivate - all Galaxy S phones like the Fascinate with gorilla glass screens, have plenty of owners who have reported scratches on their phones.

This is why I use a screen protector like Phantom Skinz to protect my phones, gorilla glass or not. Cheap insurance for an expensive device.

PS see this thread: http://androidforums.com/samsung-fascinate/187345-small-scratch-screen-already.html

Naked screen since I bought it on December 20th and only one very small and faint scratch. I dropped it in the crack of a couch that had a reclining seat so it bumped the metal on the way down. I can only see it when I have the phone asleep and I look at the screen at an extreme angle. Its only a couple millimeters.

I use a protector, as my kids often play games on my phone. Kids can damage anything. My wife ended up getting the same phone, have yet to put the protector on hers. Looking and using the two you can barely tell the difference. I use the Realook protector.

no protector since launch day and no scratches. Same for my wife and she's probably less careful than i am.

Actually i had a screen protector for a couple days and hated it.

To me picture quality was about same with or without protector.

I need order one for my replacement, just can't decide what to get this time.

No brand cheap on I had or REALOOK brand.
