Help So, how do I switch to Launcherpro?

Ok, I've liked Sense but I'm considering trying LP. I'm just a bit confused as to how to go about it. Does it work w/ Froyo on the Incredible?

yes, it works great with Froyo. Download the free version from the market and try it out. If you like it, I suggest you upgrade to LauncherPro Plus, which i think you can get from the developer's website.

Sense UI is the best, you'll be back.

I doubt it.

Launcher Pro is sooo sick and getting better. The developer is completely rewriting it too, so he can make it smoother and better.

His pop-ups, dock swipe, and scrolling everything (dock and widgets) are all awesome.

Thats cool, I hope it comes out awesome because I used the old one for a while, but honestly all it really did for me was make me yawn. In fact when I stumbled onto Livehome I was blown away and that thing has been out a while. All the transition effects like the cube and stretch were sick page flip was really nice and it all had the Launcherpro/ADW feel, just sweeter IMO.

I'll never go back to Sense. LP has me spoiled. Been on it for months now.

You lose the Sense widgets but these days there's tons of other widgets available that are just as good or in many cases, better. LP is just more customizable as a homescreen anyway.

@ iowabowtech

I look at your screenshot and am filled w/ questions: the temp in the top bar, the sense-ish clock, the dock icons the calendar...

I've now got LP installed, but where do you get all of the additions you've got going?

Got to the market and start searching for example you want a sense clock punch it in the search.

Temp = Weatherbug

Sense-ish clock = Fancy Widgets (No longer available due to it's exact likeness to the Sense widget but it can be found on the net no problem)

Calendar = Smooth Calendar

Dock icons = Combo of LP onboard icons and custom ones from an app called Launcher Pro icons. When you check out that app, there's a link to a bit.ly website where you can download them individually for free if you don't want to pay

Never tried Livehome but the reviews are not that good. I love Launcher. Transition effects are nowhere near as important as the dock abilities, new widgets, and new popups.

Just my opinion but Launcher is the best.

Really, really liking this. One oddity: if I set it so that pressing Home should return me to the "home" screen, it instead takes me to the "2nd" of 7 screens, instead of the middle one. ???

Check your Homescreen settings and see which is set as the "default" screen. May be that it believes your home screen is #2 whereas in your mind it's the middle one.

Access all the LP stuff from Menu > Preferences

Welcome to Launcherpro! The dev is truly devoted to this app (that's why I threw money his way); he recently announced that he'll be rewriting his code from scratch for an even better LP experience in the future.

Pure win.

iowa... how do you get rid of the time in the notification bar (without hiding the entire notification bar)?

Where are the popups everyone is talking about? I have the paid version, but i cannot find any settings or options for popups.

Live Home + Jesus Loves You ads. I'll pass!
