So... I think my Moto X Pure has already been assembled...

I've read that they wear nicely. I don't know about dings or scratches or anything though. One of the unboxing videos I saw, the guy said the silicone backing feels nicer than the leather, for what it's worth.

Cybercruiser, let me know what kind of back you got and what you think of it. I wish they had the bamboo back with the champagne frame, it would have been the best of both worlds. I have until almost 5 to order and get free overnight shipping.

I went with the basic black, I thought the back would be grippier. It's got the texture you all see in the videos, but, it's a hard plastic, NOT soft grippy rubber. I was hoping for more grippy, since I'm a little clumsy at times.

I might have to get a case for it afterall...

Well that helped make my decision. I thought it would be grippy /soft, so I was considering it. I was worried about the white back getting dirty, but was still considering it.

I decided if it was not going to be very soft, I might as well get the bamboo. I wish the bamboo had the champagne, but it still looks sharp without it.

I ordered it via amazon and got free overnight shipping. It will be here tomorrow!

Looks like our local Best Buy finally has them in stock, go figure...

My Moto Maker phone came today instead of Monday. Digging it so far... but yikes... the system using more than half of the 16 GB!

I ordered the walnut back - I figured the natural oils from my hand, over time, will give the wood a personal and unique appearance..

My device has been in "being built" for over a week now. The estimated delivery date is the 18th but that looks highly unlikely at this point.

EDIT: wait, I just checked, they've been building this thing since September 6th! It must be a very tricky phone to take over 10 days to assemble! I'm wishing I hadn't gone directly through Motorola. It sounds like Amazon and Best Buy actually get phones faster than the actual manufacturer? Doesn't make a ton of sense... but whatever.

My two have been being assembled since I ordered them September 3rd. STILL shows being assembled. That means either Motorola ran out of parts or they grossly underestimated the projected demand for this phone.

Mine's been "being built" since the 2nd. But Moto, I believe, is the only place to get the 64GB model.

Ok, so Motorola must be reading this forum :) - my phone just shipped out. Looks like it's estimated for Monday or Tuesday instead of this Friday. Close enough.

I got happy when I read this. Just checked and mine is still showing being built (since 9/4). I'm a sad panda...

I ordered the 32gb with the black ash wood back. You? Wonder if the configuration, etc. has anything to do with it. Patiently waiting...

I got a notice via email on the 15th that it had shipped. The FedEx guy was here this morning - 17th - at 10 a.m. but didn't leave the phone because no one was home to sign for it. He left a tag on the door which I can sign. If I do so and leave the tag on the door he will leave the phone tomorrow even though I'm not home.

Hey, I ordered mine last night and I got a notification today that it was going to be built.... how long will it take for it to arrive?

You can sign in on Motorola's website and check the order status. It'll give you an estimated delivery date. Deliveries seem to be all over the place, so that's your best bet for accuracy.

Oh, it said October 6th and for the status it says order approved even though they gave me an email saying they were assembling it.

Yeah, the phone is selling much better than Moto anticipated, so there's some delays and backorders reported. Some of us have been waiting since the 2nd or 3rd. Which model did you get? Any upgraded back or anything?

The Moto X Pure, 16 GB model, regular plastic back (I got engravings, special boot up message, and I customized the colors of course).
