It depends on whether there is anything officially announced. But if all I still have are rumors, Black Friday is my final date. I can wait that long, but my patience does have limits. I want to be able to take full advantage of the great LTE signal in Chicago before it all gets bogged down by 20 million other 4G phones. If there's nothing official and Prime hasn't landed, I'll buy the Bionic on Black Friday.

Who knows, I might be able to get it on sale! ;)
 
Need some advice:

does anyone know what the actual specs for Prime are? I mean no rumors, just plain ol' facts.

I torn between Bionic and Prime, like a bunch are, and I don't want to make a mistake. I know there will be better phones every damn month, but I like the idea of being first with Android 4.0:cool:

Nope. Even the Bionic was all rumors up until about 2 weeks ago or so. . . we won't know anything definite until it's in the hands of testers and they decide to leak photos and stuff, and/or it passes through FCC.

If you want something sooner rather than later, Bionic is the way to go. But if you want to be the first with ICS, maybe you should hunker down. ;)

Son of a Bit** i feel like a stupid idiot waiting for phone like a teenage girl!!! I have not (on purpose) even looked to see what the Prime was until about 10 mins ago. And up until 10 mins ago i was stuck done deal on the dam Droid Bionic......... Son of a... well you get the point.

I don't really want to wait and for the most part i wont be in 4g except for the Holidays coming up. But why oh why would i not just wait another month (already waited this long) and get the ICS 4.0 HD Screen Prime.... i normally don't get bent out of shape over something as stupid as this but i really don't know what to do!! Stupid phones.. I am going to post a pick of my OG droid with a busted screen and all the dings and battery door falling off.. Maybe after seeing it on the screen i will just get the bionic... ok rant over and i feel a lot better..
 
Jestexman, if nothing else, the Bionic has taught us the ability to wait.

I just can't pass up the Prime. If I got the Bionic and later got the ICS update, I'd be looking at 4 useless capacitive buttons. Waste of space. :p

I'd seriously consider the Bionic HD (speculative phone, been scraping up rumors of specs on teh interwebs) but probably not the display, RAM, and screen size on the rumored regular Bionic just don't compete for me. Against the other speculative phones that is. We'll see what really gets launched!

Bionic HD? Ohhhh, you mean the Droid HD.

I doubt they'd release a phone with LTE that's better in every aspect on the same network as the Bionic.
 
Honestly, what "must have" Android phones have been released in 2011 in the US? It's just been single core LTE and modest 3G dual core updates of existing phones for the most part. The Bionic is a "must have" phone but if you've waited 8 months since CES another 2-3 months for 1.5Ghz dual core and 720p displays doesn't seem like that much longer.
 
I like the Bionic, wanted one for a very long time.
But if something better is 2 more months away, I shall wait. My droid x is still working like a horse :)
I dont HAVE to get a new phone, I just WANT one :)
