Root Soft brick HBOOT 2.18

So just as the title says. I soft bricked my phone. I did the root just fine and went to install a ROM, and thats were it went bad, oh and the tutorial I used didnt say "hey you should make a back up first" ... lesson learned. I think it has to do with I didnt SUPERSONIC EVI3 SHIP S-OFF .. mine is ON.

I can get into HBOOT and recovery ... just cant do anything from that point. When ever the phone resets it does the HTC EVO 4G screen twice and then loads the recovery screen.

But any rate I want to start over... if I can. Return the phone 100% back factory.

Any help would be appreciated.

some questions:
1.what rom did you try to flash?

2.what recovery do you also have? i would recommend amon ra2.3 if you are not on it already.

3.what did you wipe?

i would use this guide:

skip the rooting part and go to the life after root section. it has a ton of info including how to properly flash a rom which i think was the issue.
 
As long as you can get into recovery you aren't bricked. All you do to do is boot into recovery wipe EVERYTHING except for SD card (if your using clockwork its recommended to get amon ra) and then flash a Rom

This is the guide i used.. I stopped at step 33. Like I said, the root was successful .. the ROM flash failed.

Yea Im running RA-supersonic-v2.3

This is the ROM I tried to flash
[ROM][Updated 5-28-12]MazWoz-EVO ICS ROM BETA 6 - xda-developers

Before trying to install the ROM I wiped: ALL userdata/Factory reset and DALVIK-CACHE

like rxpert says as long as you have a recovery (does not matter if you have s-on or not), you are not bricked.

i would wipe everything but the sd card in recovery and re-flash the rom.
