The update (T-Mobile UK) just showed up it my PC Companion about an hour ago, so worth your while trying PCC again if you haven't managed to flash.

Im on T-mobile UK but my pcc has yet to show any update its taking ages

to flash the generic European one is easy.
Honestly though, not much difference.

I know, i mean i love my sxs but the battery life on it is atrocious and if i got the update then it would improve my overall experience with this phone i need it because i cant hardly use my phone without it needing a charge at about 6pm

Did you try set network selection to one only instead of automatic?
It's the option between gsm and we.... Something or other

It's easy to flash the .73 update from another region using flashtool, have a look on xda everything is there

Well for me the battery on .67 is crap, when I flashed to .73 SG the battery was great, then I flashed to .73 NL and the battery was a little worse, now I have flashed back to .67 uk generic and the battery is crap, so I think once I have charged my battery I'm going back to .73 SG

Weird how it varies from person to person.

I think your right about the battery being subjective, but I just flashed back to SG .73 so I'll find out if I was right about the battery use for me

You receive the update via pc companion, so turning your net off while not in use won't stop that.

SG is the Singapore one

What's the difference between Singapore and the European one?

The only differences I can see are a couple of pre installed apps and you don't get the national roaming option but for me the battery does seem a lot better
