Root Solution to high Android System usage on GB ROMS

i can't post in developer forums yet over there so i'll ask here.

where is "privacy". I don't see it under "settings" menu.

Which rom are you running? I ask because it should be easy to find. From the home screen hit menu and then go to privacy - between accounts & sync and storage.
 
nice, I'll have to try that next time I flash one. had to go back to sense after being locked out after a reboot.

what do I mean by locked out. well I was running the destroyer v2 rom and everything was fine. after I had all my setting and screens set up I did a reboot and bam upon starting up launcher pro would just force close and I couldn't access anything.

this happened twice. the first time I hadn't done a lot and figured it was just a glitch. so I nandroided back to just after getting all my apps installed and started again. I set it all up the way I wanted and did a reboot to test and refresh everything before making another nandroid and bam locked out again :( so back to sense I went.

is this common on aosp roms or may it just be a glitch with destoyer? or is it cm glitch?

what are everyones thoughts on the most stable aosp GB rom? I really did the cm theme switcher, tho I wonder if this app is the issue?
 
From what I can tell it's a slow start up issue... launcher pro is started up with all of the other apps....and it takes forever for the sd card to mount and everything to load...


basically the system is trying to laod the home app but the home app isn't there to be loaded.

once we can use a2sd it won't be an issue...but as long as launcher pro is being loaded late it will

hmm interesting. so are you saying setting up a2sd should help?

I actually don't use a2sd at all. I think I moved some skins over for audio manager and thats about it. I have been waiting for mikfroyo 4.6 to go ahead and clean out my sd card. I have a 15gb card right and its full without any apps on it. I just keep my app list pretty short and try to only keep things I actually use.

yeah I need to clean out my wallpaper and extra zips/ back ups and what not. time for some spring cleaning for sure.

so are you suggesting dark tremor or froyo a2sd?
