Root SOLVED: F7 soft bricked - can't mount /data

Ok first, thanks to all in advance. I only got this phone less than a year ago and rooting it was painless.

Currently I am stuck in recovery only bootloop. Have tried the Unbrick/Unroot method 12 times now, on all usb ports. I CAN flash the recovery zips and switch between CWM and Philz (currently on Philz), but when I try to flash Simplicity I get the error message about /data. I think I reformatted /data once within CWM after several failed attempts at Unbrick/Unroot.

Today: Tried a different port again, got the "COM in use" dialog this time, but after following all subsequent steps it just says "waiting" for a long time, then "Ready". I wait 5 more seconds, unplug the phone and I don't get the "Pass", and my phone is still in download mode.
When I reboot, it goes into recovery and I get the message:
"E:could not mount /data to setup /data/media path!"

Do I need an SD card in for this to work?
Can anyone help me by providing a .zip file that I can flash in recovery? Or other ideas?
Thanks...

Try it again, dont unplug the phone after you get the ready, wait for at least 2-4 minutes after you get the ready sign.

I tried waiting, I get the same results. No Pass, and error comes up when it boots back into recovery
"E:could not mount /data to setup /data/media path!"

I tried on a different computer, only one of the usb ports seemed to work right, but on that newer computer (windows 7) it only says waiting for about 15 seconds before saying "Ready". I waited 4 minutes before unplugging, same results. Boots into recovery, won't boot up.

My battery is getting lower and lower as I have tried this about 15 to 20 times now.

Is there another way or another solution? A .zip file that I can flash that will fix the /data error?

And do I need an sd card inserted for this to work?

Thanks, I am about to toss this thing in the trash...hoping to find a solution, seems like it should work.

SOLVED!

While it was idling at Ready on the Flash tool, I just unplugged it and plugged it back into the same usb port. Got an error message, did it again, and it started reflashing....

Phew! Now on to rerooting...

Thanks for help
