Have any existing Virgin Mobile customers been able to swap their phones yet? I am still having issues switching my service from my Samsung Intercept to my new Motorola Triumph.
I bought mine on Friday (from a Best Buy on 14th st in nyc) and have spoken to VM customer service countless of times but I have still been unable to get any results.
Any tips for getting the swap to work today?
Hey, when you called, did you just ask if they had the Triumph in stock? And they said yes?
Just making sure. I called a few stores around here and they all said they weren't in stock.

did you make sure to enter the mdn and msid in the programming menu? (##virgin#)
When I dial that number and click view, It gives me no MDN, but it does give me a MSID. I type that in on the swap phones, and it says, If you want to swap you'll lose datapacks and downloadsXL or some BS that I don't give a darn about, and I hit next, (HOORAY!) but then it say couldn't be swapped call up the guys at VM. So darn it. But I guess I made a little progress?
When you get into that menu, hit "edit", then enter YOUR phone # for the MDN, then next is the MSID - enter the same MSID that's on your other phone (get to the menu the same way), which should also be what the website tells you as well. Hit ok to save them, then hit "done" and it should reboot. You might not have to, but I turned my previous phone off.
That's what I did after doing the swap on the website and it worked - that's what customer service walks you through when you call in as well.
Virgin Mobile's online phone swap didn't work for me, didn't work when I called them up either. Trying to swap from an Optimus V
what area?So does anyone know if Best Buy will be selling them tomorrow? Or is it Wednesday? None of the BB's around here will sell them in advance to me. >.>
what area?
is F-ing simple we must kill the batman.. . virgin is raising prices on plans from $25 to $35 on 20 july!! 19th july is the last day you can get the $25 plan! and holy shit the official Triumph activation date is july 20 so if you are a new customer you are stuck paying the new raised prices rumor has it unless you have the $25 plan already or get it before 20 july and your $25 "old"plan will be grandfathered to the triumph on july 20
ya a few very lucky people were able to activate it before "Skank" noticed and they put a stop to that little fcuk fest..

You got it 2/3 right. The MSID is the network ID. You should get those on the screen, and probably should keep trying it until you get a successful swap email from VMUSA... [EDIT] Oh and an easy way to remmber the ## number, is that if you look at the alphabetic characters on the keys, it's actually ##VIRGIN# ... [/EDIT]@ i2c
Dial: ##847446#
Click on Edit, enter your Phone Number in the MDN box and in the MSID box then click OK.
Then click Done...Your phone will reboot on its own.
If you click on View you'll see only the phone number is used. You got it 2/3 right. The MSID is the network ID.
hmmm... you're right, but I got a totally different # via the web page AND email... but in status it's just showing the phone #... strange...If you click on View you'll see only the phone number is used.
