Help Someone help me please!

Last night, my phone started to act up. It would force close every app I tried to open so I turned it off. When I went to power it back on, a grey screen appears. I removed the battery, plugged in the ac adaptor plugged the battery back in. The red charging light came on. I go to turn the phone on and the light goes off and nothing happens. I tried to do a hard reset and no screen came up, the phone however did vibrate three times. Any suggestions?

Phone is not rooted, it did however fall into a sink about a month ago, it was put into rice for three days and I had to get a new battery. Thank you for help.

Yeah, I think I was making that mistake, however, holding down vol down and power doesn't do anything. It just makes the charge light go off. Is there a certain length of time I need to hold it down?

A few seconds should more than suffice. Try pulling the battery, leave it out for a minute then replace. Then hold volume down while pressing the power button. Does that bring up the hboot screen or still nothing?

Still nothing, I took the battery back to where I bought it from and they are analyzing it....I'll find out if that was the cause in about twelve hours. I can only hope that is what it is as the phone is not under warranty as I bought it outright.

Does it vibe at all when you try turning it on normally? Hopefully its not a bad LCD. Crossing fingers for it being the battery.

So, I got the battery back today and that wasn't the problem....Anyone else have any ideas or suggestions? Id hate to have to trash this thing....

UPDATE TO THE UPDATE:so now the phone is back off....it did come back on for a second and then started cycling through the start up screen over and over....anyone help me with this? maybe its the battery?

At this point, I'd say it's the phone and not the battery. Unfortunately, unless it's insured, your options are pretty limited.
